Well done on getting the £12 and for clearing La Redoute.

    Watch out Studio!

  • Have had an e-mail back from Shapely Figures and they are not budging with the charges applied to the account. Oh well, will plod on with them at £5 per month until Studio is gone and then transfer every spare penny into that. Have had 2 sales on e-bay, only 99p items but every penny counts. Have £15.99 in the paypal account now and as soon as it hits £50 I'll transfer it and pay it off Studio.

I hope you enjoyed putting a line through La Redoute, have you had any late fees added to studio I know years ago I found it easy to get charges refunded on that account.
:j You are doing so well keep up the good work :j

  • I absolutely loved putting a line through the La Redoute part of my signature, have posted off the letter closing the account as well so that's all done and dusted. Was going to concentrate on the Studio bill next but have decided that as the Shapely figures one is less that I'm going to continue to pay the £5 per month to Studio and plough all the extra money into the Shapely Figures account. Haven't got any spare cash at the moment to transfer but plan on paying off £10 on Friday out of the tax credits. Am pretty skint this week, don't know where all my money has gone :(

Well done on losing Studio, I am sure Shapely Figures will be just as successful! And you are right about ebay - 99p is still better in your account!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
  • Thanks Red, I wish I could lose studion but I'm just putting it on the backburner for another day :) The plan tonight is to set up a standing order to Shape;y so that I can easily transfer every few spare pounds. I normally pay by cheque every month but feel that if I set up the SO it'll give me more of an incentive to pay it off quicker. It certainly worked with La Redoute. Have packed two parcels so they are ready to post off today and I really must list DS's mobile phone on e-bay tonight. Will have a look at what they are going for and see what cash I can make. Have also just found 3 PS2 games which I'll have the check with the kids if I can sell them but they've been on the bookshelf for ages so they've obviously forgotten about them (hopefully). Off to work now will catch up on the diaries tonight.

  • Have just listed a pile of books on amazon and DS's mobile phone so I'm not doing so badly tonight. Am going to have a chat with DD now to see if I can sell those PS2 games that I discovered this morning.

Had really good day in work today, only spent 46p on a packet of crisps and plan on taking packed lunch again tomorrow so things are progressing well there.

Only one letter of Mr Postman today - council tax bill for 2010/11 uuuurrrrrggggghhhh

Who needs money anyway i think we are all becoming obsessed about it, that and eating and living maybe we should give it all up:rotfl:
Well done on the listings you are doing so well and keeping so positive, it wont be long and your next debt will be gone too.

  • I really hope so herewego. At the middle of the month I tend to get despondent as things seem to be on go slow until the next pay cheque. Have sold another 2 books tonight, not made an awful lot but at least £2. Am also getting lots of interest for the mobile phone. Have listed it for 3 days so should have some more cash by the weekend. Paypal up to about £20 now.

I forgot to mention that I wrote a letter to Lloyds bank last week regarding a mis-sold ppi, had a reply back yesterday saying they are going to look into it. Don't think for one minute I;ll get a refund as it was years ago that I took the loan out but thought I'd give it a go. Have been told that I'll have a response within 8 weeks so fingers crossed there.
