  • I may give it a go. Not thought about it before but will try one or two items and see if they shift.

Thanks for your post thought I would pop in to see how your doing.
This new fella is it serious and if so have you thought about sharing the details of your debt I find it makes you feel so much better to talk he may even have some solutions.
As for the holiday im sure if he didnt want to pay he wouldnt offer, but i understand if you dont feel comfortable accepting. I stuggled when i went on maternity leave and had to depend on DH wage ended up using cc just so i didnt spend his wages as you can see by my signature it didnt work although that was 14 years ago LOL

  • Well I've been seeing him for over two years but he's been so badly hurt in the past I sometimes feel I'm taking two steps forward and one step back. We've been friends for over 15 years but I've not told him the full extent of my money worries. He's in a really well paid job and I don't want to ellaborate too much in case he thinks I'm hinting for help. He's a great guy and I'm hoping that it's eventually going to go somewhere but who knows. We will have to wait and see.

All he knows is that ex hubby left me with substantial amount of debt and that I'm constantly paying it off. He's really good and whereas he doesn't ram his financial stability down my throat he does treat me well and cheer me up when I'm feeling down.

  • I will do. Well I've just checked my La Redoute statement online and it says the balance is £34.23 and the £17 I paid on Friday hasn't come off yet so it looks like I'm less in debt that I thought! My grand total is now £17.23. Off I go to alter my signature with a big smile on my face :):):)

  • I don't quite know how that has happened but I'm not complaining. If only they'd take off the £12 late payment fee from last month then I'd really be smiling. I'm sure that once I pay off one it'll give me the much needed incentive to go for the others. I'm hoping anyway. Off to work now to earn a 'not quite enough' living. Catch you all later

That's excellent news, especially on a Monday morning. Once La Redoute is gone it will give you a boost to start attacking another one.
