NOW JAN 2019 (that still needs to change)
  • Yes I work full time and am doing lots of overtime but I know that come April my tax credits will be reduced as they'll take into account the extra income. I also do mystery shopping in my spare time (when I have any) I'm all e-bayed and amazoned out :)

I notice your DFD in 31/08/12 are you going to pay all that off in 2 years? What's your plan?

Plan, not sure i have one DH has a very good job but if you have read my diary he is due a large payrise last september but hes to proud to ask doesn't feel he should have to if this comes through I would have a DFD of Nov 2011.
I plan to sell everything did quite well in February cleared my VERY account at 39% it had to go, now im onto additions this is also at 39% but not doing quite so well, having a tough time at work and just not motivated. I have bought a job lot off ebay this week so im hoping i can split this and sell at a profit only paid £6.50 so shouldn't be too hard.
I have a feeling DFD date will move DH car is at the end of its term and the balloon payment is due £12000 I have factored this into our budget as I was hoping we would get rid of the HP payments (£349 a month )make the payment and sell the car at a profit then just maybe he would buy a cheaper car who knows :o

  • I hope the payrise comes through for you. He really should ask for it, it's not as if he's not entitled to it. I'll find your diary tonight and have a read through.

  • Good luck, it seems like you feel like its a mountain, but little steps climb mountains!

My diary helps me, not been at it long, but I am more focused now that I have it.

  • Thanls for the support Dot. I'm feeling quite positive today and have decided that once the tax credits go into the bank tomorrow I'm going to pay £10 off La Redoute. Once the money has gone out of my account then I'm going to have to cope without it. That's the plan anyway :)

  • Thanks for the support. How do we get ourselves into these situations? I am so determined now, I don't have much spare money but I'm going to try my hardest to get some years off my debt free date.

With me it was two fold -
    a) spending what I didn't have
    b) more spending what I didn't have

but NEVER again...my next holiday whenever it will be, will be with money I have saved and not via any other method!!
