In German, I'm afraid.
A list of EU brand manufacturers that make the own brands for Aldi, Lidl, and others. Some of these products also make it to the UK market, although Aldi UK sells about 70% British made products. The rest is from the EU. Lidl has a far higher rate of imported goods.
From this list:
Reckitt Benckiser (Calgon) Pro Pack Ladenburg Akuta Tabs ALDI, Unamat ALDI Nord, Tandil ALDI Süd, AS Color SCHLECKER (Quelle: UBA-Nummer)
That's the mystery solved about who makes Aldi's dishwasher tabs. They're Calgon.
Also have a look at these (Aldi ice-cream). Some should look familiar.

Here the same for Lidl:

Here's Lidl's chicken soup and lasagne:

And here's their fish products:

Cheers dinkydee.
Personally, I don't believe much in babelfish, since I find it produces a lot of nonsense, but maybe it's worth a shot.
The https://www.lebensmittelmarken.de pages don't need translating anyway. The pictures and company addresses are self-explanatory. The man responsible for this site is a member of the German police force, by the way. He should know his researching, or at least I hope so.
...
Right, here's an example how he does it. On every EU dairy product, there is (or should be!) an elliptical stamp with the veterinary control number of the dairy company. The same applies to meat-processing companies.
Example: D-BY 718 EWG
D is Germany, BY stands for Bavaria, 718 is Müller. (The known maker of "müller" products)
The list below is the key to the makers of dairy products from Germany. (In German, but self-explanatory.)
http://www.pruefziffernberechnung.de/Begleitdokumente/EWG-Betriebsnr-DE-Milch.shtml
Check the package of your dairy products next time. They should have a stamp on it. British stamps look somewhat like UK-XX ### EEC.
Tesco Value strawberry and peach melba yoghurts are made in Germany, too. If you feel like playing food detective, note the control number on the package and find the maker from the above list.0 -

My friend recently bought some Rocket Dogs Boots like these
http://www.rawshoe.co.uk/mall/Shoe_Details.asp?Stock_ID=2087
I paid £10 for exactly the same boot in Stead and Simpson. They had the same stitching, heel, fur inside everything - Just not the rocket dog logo.
Bargain!!!:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -

Some appliances may have the same parts (e.g. hitachi TVs using toshiba parts), but the firmware is likely to be different.
Firmware is the software that brings all the parts together, and can make a huge difference to the quality for some products such as TVs etc.
Another excellent example are mobile phones - they all have very similar components but the software maketh the phone.
Just my humble opinion...

Triton make own label showers for Wickes (called Acquatronic)
The electrician that we called about a new shower told us and when I was looking in Wickes at the showers the assistant confirmed this. Also the shower head has Triton written on it.0 -
Please challenge me if I am wrong. I have a friend who is a buyer for Tesco, (just like the Dudley Moore character in the adverts). He goes to factories / producers around the world to get a good deal. If he is buying, say , Tuna, he goes to a variety of countries and signs up factories / producers which can meet his criteria for taste / quality. He then gives them a contract. In the shop , the product could well have come from a variety of suppliers, but has passed the Tesco standard for that product. It is quite likely that the same the same producer is supplying another buyer (eg John West) but JW's criteria are a bit different to Tesco. So even though Tesco and John West resource from exactly the same factory/ producer they still may have different quality control targets. Chances are that the supermarkets get good deals by buying the slightly lower standard product from the same factory than the major brand. So, same producer / factory does not mean same product quality. But in the end, if you like it....buy it, if it tastes good..... continue to buy it, if its cheaper......., even better0

I'm thinking of buying a John Lewis own brand freezer - so rang them up to ask who made them Got a very tight lipped response - obviously salesperson sworn to secrecy - but said they were 'made in Europe' so presume AEG/NEFF/ZANUSSI combo. Does anyone know?0
