It takes some thorough googling, but one will find lists on the web with the actual producers of ALDI's and LIDL's own brands.

Hi, do you have any links to see these lists?

I know this is not supermarket but i cant resist, a lot of Primark's clothes are supplied by the same supplier as John Lewis.

Pretty sure Tesco Mountain Herb Shampoo & Conditioner is Timotei Wild Herb(?) in disguise! They are next to each other on the shelf and look and smell exactly the same. Results are the same too! Can anyone tell me if i'm right?

I thought whisky had to be distilled in Scotland according to EU rules, like Champagne has to be from the Champagne region

I think it can only be called Scotch when distilled in Scotland, rather than Whisky.

    In German, I'm afraid.

A list of EU brand manufacturers that make the own brands for Aldi, Lidl, and others. Some of these products also make it to the UK market, although Aldi UK sells about 70% British made products. The rest is from the EU. Lidl has a far higher rate of imported goods.

    From this list:

Reckitt Benckiser (Calgon) Pro Pack Ladenburg Akuta Tabs ALDI, Unamat ALDI Nord, Tandil ALDI Süd, AS Color SCHLECKER (Quelle: UBA-Nummer)

That's the mystery solved about who makes Aldi's dishwasher tabs. They're Calgon.

Also have a look at these (Aldi ice-cream). Some should look familiar.

    Here the same for Lidl:

Here's Lidl's chicken soup and lasagne:

    And here's their fish products:

Well, don't know if it's quite the same, but Tesco Mobile is actually o2. I know as I worked in technical support for o2 and though the majority of the calls are o2, some we got were preceded by 'tesco helpdesk call' and we'd answer the phone 'hello tesco technical support' rather than o2.

Also the network '3' uses o2 when there is no 3 coverage in an area (you can only voice call using o2 if you're not in a 3 area, it doesn't use o2's 3G cell sites) but the technical line was run by 3 and we did not handle their calls.

Moral being: if you call tesco mobile, you're actually calling o2 so be mindful of that - they can ALWAYS sort out your technical query so don't let them fob you off .
