Well we have a panny and its been fine and free of any faults for id say 8 years at least, did tihnk maybe the door catch was faulty as it wouldnt open when te button was pressed but it seems ok now
do you have an iceland nearby as they may do microwaves but unsure if they sell branded ones and the price0 -
The discount brand version of pringles are imo better than pringles plus they're cheaper, anyone else found this ?0

I am looking around for a new combination microwave oven and I've identified a few that I like but wonder if I should be looking at supermarket or stores' own brands if they all come from just a small number of manufacturers.
Those I'm considering are made by Sharp, Panasonic, Sanyo and Samsung.
Other than product reviews, I wonder if anybody has any useful tips regarding these please?
We went for the Panny 7 years ago and cant fault it, cost us a little more than the lesser brands but worth every penny for the reliability and the looks0 -
Thanks for your comments re the microwaves - will give the 'own brands' a miss on this occasion and go for the Panny.0

The Mothercare brand baby car seat (Travel Tot) is manufactured by Dorel. Dorel is the parent company and manufacturer of Maxi Cosi - the top selling, best Which? rated car seats for babies.
Of course the Mothercare seat offers less practicality in that it is not compatible with a clip-in base and it is only able to be used with the Mothercare pushchairs, whereas the Maxi Cosi can be used with pushchairs of a few different brands. But in terms of safety, it is just as safe as the Maxi Cosi seat when installed using a seatbelt. It is less than half the price, so if you don't want to use it on a pushchair anyway, its definitely a good buy. Carseats can be a bit of a minefield, the Nania ones for example are awful quality, they don't seem safe at all!I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -

"The video processor technology used inside an LCD TV is the most important part determining the image quality in combination with the panel itself."
Sony have their own exclusive component, other brands will use a different one.0 -

I agree that you have to be careful with Nania quality control (or lack of it!). I bought two ISOFIX seats from Argos and had to change one of them as one of the isofix arms was bent - probably done in the warehouse or by their courier...they don't come in boxes, just plastic bags.
But having said that, they look very safe to me - they have deep side impact protection (definitely better than some more expensive seats). They have isofix, which is in a different class to using a seat belt for security and reliability! and the buckles have a buzzer which tells me if my little darlings ever manage to release the buckle when they shouldn't. That doesn't equate to not being safe.0 -

Hi, be careful not to assume just because it has a lot of side material/foam that it is of the same quality as some of the better brands, it really is worth looking at some of the crash tests on these as some good looking cheaper ones (not all by any means, but some) whilst they look bulkier and more protective are made with a lesser material so do not offer the same protection - in regards childs safety you pay for what you get so please think hard as this purchase could save your childs life.
Although i definately agree with getting Isofix if your car has it, but i would be nervous if the isofix was bent as a above waist height drop of a motercycle helmet lessens its protection a lot so i would think the same applies to car seats and it must be one hell of a drop to bend the metal!0 -
It's not quite a product, but it's a service. Broadband / Phone. AOL, Tiscali, Pipex, TalkTalk are all on the TalkTalk Technology network (well most of them, and all new customers will be).
Their customer services, tech support and other services are all provided by the same people. So choose the cheapest possible service for what you need. As (for example) the AOL unlimited and TalkTalk unlimited speed/usage packages are very different in price, but the same product.0
