My wife use to work at the KP Factory at Billingham. As well as doing KP Crisps, then did the packets of crisps for Sainsburys, M & S and ASDA all home brands and tasted the same.

I found some Tesco Value tins of spaghetti reduced from 14p to 7p because they were bent, so I bougt them, expecting to hate them, but they're nicer than Heinz. I never liked Heinz ones but often had them because I used to be obssessed with brand; these ones are in a thick sauce which does nto leave a nasty aftertaste and there is plenty of spaghetti. I couldn't recommend them more.:T

I bought some pre-loaded filters of decaf coffee labelled Sainsbury's own make. Label says 'made in Belgium' so wondering if they are Douwe Egberts - taste like them.

Although the strength on the Sainsbury is 3 yet it tastes like DW, strength 4?

Hoover may offer a 5 year warranty on parts but will only supply you with the new part if you use the Hoover engineer which I know to be £90 call out as my Hoover washing machine broke down 2 weeks after the 12 month warranty ran out. My husband managed to fix it for me.

Going back a few years now Baxters of Speyside used to make M&S own soup, a lot of Christmas lines - Fruits in champagne etc. - and therfore quite possibly jams and beetroot too.

M&S were really tight on their QC and whole runs would get binned for minor flaws.

As most (most likely all) of it was perfectly edible it ended up in staff shop.

Wife used to work there, so we were never short of soup, beetroot or Fruits in Champagne.

Am currently looking to buy a new oven & Proline have a few bargains about!!!

Are they made by a larger manufacturer??

my uncle worked in a coke/diet coke factory and they made coke for tesco (own brand) said they were made the same way
