my uncle worked in a coke/diet coke factory and they made coke for tesco (own brand) said they were made the same way

By adding the ingredients and mixing them, yes. By using the same ingredients, no chance.

Coca-Cola is only bottled under licence, and any bottling company which was breaking the terms of its licence by using the same ingredients for another product would lose the licence immediately - and that licence is the most valuable thing those bottlers have.

I'm not saying Coca-Cola is better or worse than any other product - just that there's no way that any other product is the "same".

If you saw the way Coke is made & the quality control involved & the bloke in the white coveralls that checks, checks & checks again, when the syrup/concentrate is added, you'd just KNOW, nothing but Coke is coke!!

  • Cowbelle milk/cream for Aldi is produced by wisemans.
I work for Tesco, and the milk wagon goes to the DC on the same run as my store. I see the pallet of cream for them with the Cowbelle logo on.
Wheatfield Bakery bread for Tesco is now produced by Frank Roberts and Sons Bakery of Rudheath, Northwich, Cheshire.
I don't know about the quality of it.
Tesco's long life milk is produced by Arla foods Settle.
The Value Beans, Chopped and plum tomatoes are produced by la doria ltd.

Morrisons brought in bread eg bread not baked in the bakery is made by Rathbones Bakeries who also make Rathbones bread also sold at morrisons
Morrisons own Rathbone Kear bakeries, who make all Morrisons own brand bread and morning goods and the 'unknown' brand name bread you see on offer from time to time in Morrisons. It's part of the 'vertical integration' that Morrisons use.

Does anyone have any info on if Clarins and Clinique have cheaper related brands?

I don't think so but apparently Bourjois is made by Chanel.

I could be completely wrong, but I seem to rememer reading on one of the forums that either Clarins or Clinique (can't remember which - sorry), make the body care products for M & S. Whichever one it is, the products are lovely to use.
