NearlyRich- any chance we could leave this on this board instead of OS? PLEASE PLEASE ? I know it was moved over there when I started one some months ago- IN saying that if it moves to OS - we can all bookmark or add to subscribed threads, is everyone aware of how to do that? ( as theres some newbies)
Anyhow
Elantan, Jessica Mb, Scottish Spenda, me, fishface ( any more for any more)
are grocery challenging .
elantan has just asked me whats included - i guess its up to you lot what you want included, its your budget
I will ( as per usual) be including all meals at home packed lunches for work, having people over for those cheapo dinner parties, toiletries and cleaning products. Theres me & OH, no kids or pets. So really up to you what you want to include.
I will be reducing ours to £95 this month as we I fear we overspent a little last month ( ie cupbaords bulging, threw a few things away) so will be bringing this down a bit for my own challenge.
I started mine with loopyloulou last month on the 20th as thats when I get paid, :rotfl: so a bit biased realy, but if we are ready to roll then- shall we start tomorrow?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

could I join the grocery challenge?? There are 3 of us me, Hubby and 1 year old. Have tried cutting back but this is exactly what I need. I intend to spend no more than £25 a week so shall I call it £100 for the month. (this could be interesting as I have to buy nappies out of that aswell!!)
Thanks

I won't join in this month but if its ok could I join in from next month if the challenge is still on!
Will work it out so I use up all the food I have now & start next month on the same day as you all in August.
Good luck to everybody this month, hope you all succeed!:j

I'm in for £70 for me. This is supposed to include wine.
Nearlyrich - please please leave it on here too. We are doing it as more of a spending challenge than lots of new recipies etc as per OS and I'll feel better if we are part of a smaller group.
I'm paid tomorrow too so its a good day for me. I shouldnt be going to the supermarket until the weekend so here goes. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0 -
cani add my agreement with lynz and njessicamb nearlyrich ..after all were really trying to get out of debt and as everyone knows shopping is a big bill.. 20th seems fair to me i'm looking forward to it ...now if i can just figure out how much i spent today at cash and carry ...hhhmmmm0

We managed it as well!! oooh looked tricky there for a while as we needed a few bits, but weve gone without
Tonights menu is finest sausages, marinated chicken oven chops, corn, salad- not bad for a last day of the shopping :T:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
