We woke this morning to an inch or so of snow....its mostly all thawed during the day so hopefully no more to-night.
Hugs to everyone who is feeling under pressure for whatever reason....sorry to hear about your freezer Zippy.
Rabbit...sorry to hear that things are so hard at present, it will get better so keep doing the day at a time method.
Mioliere...sounds as if your house will be wonderful when finished.
Csarina....glad that things are going so well in Scotland for you and OH.
Diva...good to hear that Tris is home...congratulations on all your baking...that would do us for six months I think.
Knitting a few bits at present for a crafts and cake sale that DGS2's school is having in March, nothing big as people no longer have money to throw around at these things, just hats, scarves and maybe a baby jacket or two if I'm in the humour.
Haribo....where are you, things are far too sedate without you to brighten us up.
Tru...you are wonderful! The message in this house always was that if you didn't want to stay in education you had to get a job and it didn't do any of mine any harm, they were always horrified at friends who could just loaf all summer and 'borrow' constantly from parents without ever paying back. The message will get through to them.
Tired Mum...smoking is a tough one....not sure what to say that might be of any help...have heard of the trick of forcing them to smoke a whole pack one after the other and it apparently works.
Dinner to-day was ham hock, cabbage and potatoes, followed by chocolate cake. OH got the hock for €1.49 this morning, we both had lots and there is enough to make a ham and pea soup to-morrow, so well pleased with that, very economical and it was lovely.
Sleep well everybody...

evening! just got back from work(well half an hour ago actually)
sandy - (((hugs))) so sorry to hear about your cat x
Bitsy - glad it went well:D mine(mirena) hasn't settled down yet and its been nearly a month so be patient. It does work well when its settled.
Tired mum - (((hugs)))not sure what to advise, our 2 boys both smoke(17 and 20) and I hate it but they are adults or virtually so they must make their own choices whether we like it or not. They were both younger when they started and I told them the brutal facts about smoking but it made no difference. In the end I decided I'd rather they were open about it instead of trying to hide it although they dont smoke in the house.
Zippy - sorry to hear about your freezer troubles, hope you get it sorted soon x
off to bed soon asam on shift again at 7am!
take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0
