Morning :hello:
I've been arguing with myself lately, but it's OK, I won :rotfl: Master tru threatens to leave home every time he disagrees with something
Miss tru has turned into a lazy dole bum
I told him to get over himself, respect our rules (there aren't many) and either leave or don't, but stop going on about it. I told her she either gets a job and pays her way, or she has use of her bed and the shower and that's it. She thinks JSA is her 'wages' for her to spend on herself. Not likely, says I. You can hand it all over except for £15, which will buy you a weekly bus pass and leave you with £5.
So, my argument with me was - as the kids treat us like rubbish ALL THE TIME, do I do the same to them? No, that makes me as bad as them, and I can't complain about them if I'm doing the same thing. Yes (says the other half of me), they're not listening anyway and the only way to get their attention is to fight back with what they want the most - money and decent food. So I've confiscated their cashpoint cards and bought them their own food. I went to Morrison's and bought frozen value lasagne, chicken curries, etc. Master tru gets crisps for his work lunchbox but can't have them at home, Miss tru gets none cos she doesn't work. Apply that to everything in the house, and you get the idea
Miss tru has to sign on today, she stayed at her boyfriend's last night, bet she doesn't get up on time. She'll lose her money. Shame.
So now, we're only half OS
Me and Mr tru are carrying on as normal. Still ploughing through homegrown veg and eating homelaid eggs
I've decided to add the chickens to the business and I'm going to design a label for eggboxes. I buy bales of hay for the animals, I'm going to buy extra, bag it up and sell it. A friend has his own hot sauce business and wants to buy our chillis (I think I mentioned that on here before?). I'm also going to sell some of the veg from the garden. Cards need to be altered (I put contact info in each cello bag). I've got a new biz name, so I'll sell it all under that. And as for the EU saying they're going to stop online sales unless you have a bricks and mortar shop, up yours
I'm going to let the chicks (2 weeks old) run around in the kitchen while I clean them out. Bit worried I won't be able to catch them again.................:DBulletproof0 -
Wow, Tru, you are a force to be reckoned with! Glad I'm not a lazy part of your household! Good on you for stamping your foot & not putting up with it

BTW, can the chicks get into small places? Will you find them all again?!0 -
Oooh thanksWow, Tru, you are a force to be reckoned with! Glad I'm not a lazy part of your household! Good on you for stamping your foot & not putting up with it

Push me too far and you'll regret it
The kids know this, but they push anyway. Idiots.BTW, can the chicks get into small places? Will you find them all again?!
I've blocked off the one small gap so I won't lose them, but if anyone knows how to herd them, I'd love to hear from you

morning all
I'm feeling more human again today
not feeling dizzy yet today so hopefully I will feel like a short drive later as I have a Tesco 5p off litre petrol voucher that expires today and a car with a near empty tank outside! But I won't go unless I feel up to it (before you lot shout at me!)
Today would have been my Grandad's 90th birthday but he passed away in May last year. My parents and aunts are taking my Grandma out for lunch. Dad said she is doing ok, looking on it in a remembering way rather than a sad way IYKWIM. I will give her a ring later today to say hello.
I'm going to strip the bed and put the bedding in the WM at some point today. The duvet now reminds me of illness so could do with a change, even though it only went on Sat!
I'm definately going to cancel my friend coming to stay this weekend
I have no energy to do the things she wants to do. She is very understanding though. I have another friend who is here from Canada (who came over for our other friend's wedding last week) and the last chance I'll get to see her before she goes back is this weekend and Monday so I'm hoping I'll be up for something quiet like coffee.
BM went on yesterday and I made my first ever brown loaf. It tastes much better than the white ones do, any ideas why that would be? I use all Tesco own stuff in it, and measure properly.
Have a good day all

Good on you Tru!
I work with 16-25 year old's who are unemployed/not in education and if even half of them had parents like you then my job would be so much easier!! Too many are molliecodled (sp?) and rely on parents to do everything for them.

Morning all
MSD - glad Tris is home, hope both your friends continue to improve. Your baking sounds lush!
Mioliere - glad you got your money back from the faulty ATM.
sistercas - I had cavity wall put in last year and I reckon its brilliant. My heating didn't go on until December as we were so warm, and my thermostat is generally set to 16 which is plenty.
Bitsy - good luck with your mirena fitting! I'm far too much of a wuss to have something like that done, I don't do pain! As for holidays, the prices in Britain during school holidays are horrendous. After much research I have booked a weeks all inclusive at a nice hotel in Lanzarote in August for under £1400, so can't wait.
Rabbit - hugs
Flutterby - glad you're feeling so much better.
Tru - go you!!! Good luck with the chickens. :rotfl:
Hugs to anyone else that needs them, sure there was a couple of others I was going to mention but brain cells have failed me yet again!
I got signed off work for a week yesterday for my shingles, so consequently am still in my pj's! House still a tip, just haven't got the energy. Still on 4 doses of painkillers a day which makes it more of a dull ache in my side, but it isn't half sore when I wake up in the morning and the painkillers have worn off.
Don't normally watch daytime tv but am very much enjoying the winter olympics (watching the daily afternoon catch up programme). Has anyone else been watching?0 -
(((Ladyshopper))) hope you feel better soon. Daytime tv is driving me crazy after 4 days!!

Morning all. My beautiful cat has gone:( We went to the vet's on Monday and he wanted to do one more test to confirm his diagnosis so we went back on Tuesday and she was sedated. The test pretty much confirmed so she was put to sleep. We are all devestated. She was 11 but we had only had her 2 1/2 years.
Thanks to those who were thinking of us especially MrsB who has been wonderful. xx
Hope everyone is ok.
Suppose I should add something Os as well. Going to try and make chicken and bacon pie today but not sure how. The chicken is cooked.Sealed Pot Challenge Member NO. 853 :j0
