Evening all.
well coil fitting was only very mildly uncomfortable so not sure now what I was worrying about
It's in and just hope it sorts out the decorators (thanks for the term floss
:rotfl:)
been a lazy day so no OS really
Am cooking the kids tea from scratch does that count :rotfl:
Anyway H mentioned to me about borrowing my parents touring caravan (plus awning) for our hols. would need another bed guard for DD and it would be a bit odd creeping round the tiny caravan when the kids are asleep but it would be a darn sight cheaper. Going to have a chat about it tonight. thanks for the recs re Haven and the farm place NPM. Need to get a shufty on and sort it out otherwise everywhere will be booked at this rate.
Zippy - hugs to you. Don't feel bad about coming on here to vent - we're all here for you chicken xx
Tru - You go girl!!! Start as you mean to go on. when I left collage and decided not to go to Uni I thought I'd have a nice long lazy summer ahead of me. Little did I know my mum had other ideas  Get a job I was told and duly did - met my H there so I guess its quite lucky that she made me get off my butt :rotfl:
Molly - hugs to you xx
Sandy - Hugs to you. Pets are family xx
tiredmum - I don't really have any advice regarding stopping him smoking. My mum told me I could try ciggies the one day but I'd have the chain smoke the pack  Hugs to you anyway xx
Bargainbird - thanks for the link - have signed up
right kids dinner is ready and H is home. Better dash.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

.
It took mine about 6 - 8 months in all to settle down, with bleeding every now and then, but since then I very rarely have anything at all, give it a bit of time to settle in, but well done xx
Zippy, sorry you are going through such a tough time, big kiss xx
Tired mum, I think I would leave it until tomorrow night, after school when your dh is home, you wont achieve much tonight, and will only risk a flare up, hope it all works out xx0 -

it's a bit like waxing - the thought hurts more than the actual thing!

Mine was about the same, to stick with the decorators theme I only get the skirting boards now rather than the walls, ceiling & woodwork :rotfl: Don't forget to go for your check-up to make sure it's still there

I'm finding it a lot easier following the Flylady thread; before, I used to go at the housew*rk like a bull at a gate on "good" days, and end up virtually confined to bed for the rest of the week. Now I make myself just do the designated room, and leave it at that. It still takes me an age to do anything though; and as I'm also doing WiiFit+ daily (need to shift 3 stone:eek::eek::eek:) the time just seems to disappear.
I will try to do better though.;):D
Big ((((HUGS)))) to all who need/want one today;l especially Rabbit, Sandy, Zippy, Ladyshopper (ouch re the shingles:().
Right, Mr LW will be in very shortly, so I'd better go and finish off the baked spuds that are in the micro - need to put the convection bit on to crisp up the outsides.:)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Tiredmum, I've nothing to add, I have been very lucky with my two (apart from DS2not sleeping when very small) but I think Redruby's suggestion of waiting til tomorrow is a good one. You could always "notice" that the £5 has vanished while he's at cadets, therefore you don't have to try & ground him while your OH is at work

Evening everyone.
Just a quick post for now, will post more later.
Tired Mum - I understand where you are coming from but if it was me I wouldn't stop him going to Army Cadets, as redruby said wait until tomorrow. I work in a college and we have charts that shows how much you spend on cigarettes over the years dependant on how much you smoke per day i.e if you smoke 20 a day ovr 20 years you would spend over £40,000 and other literature we use. If you want I could send you some of the things we use in college. I am sure your local stop smoking service may be able to help with information and would perhaps speak to your son direct. I know that my mum made my brother smoke a full packet in 1 go when he was about 14/15 years old and he never smoked ever again.0 -
right well dont think that i will stop him going to army cadets we all need the break:o i will speak to OH tomorrow after we have dropped DS at school but i think that we will stop him going to the 2 day trip thing this weekend I am just cross with him as i now cannot trust him at home have told the girls to hide their money as well Just to top it off DD1s camera is missing he asked the other week if he could take it to army cadets she said no and went to download some pics tonight and it has been moved or been taken understandbly she is not happy and says she is going to kill him and cant take anymore of him
Yes he did take the camera cause some people were leaving and DD1 said he couldnt in case he broke it but he hadnt GRRR0 -
tired mum
You are in a very tricky spot with DS and the ADHD compounds everything but I think that both you and your OH need to agree on some form of punishment and stick to it. The ADHD is no excuse for stealing from you. As for smoking I would take him to an emphysema clinic and show him what smoking can do.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Oh dear Tired Mum - sounds like you have a tough one - can't offer any advice except for hugs and support. Thank you to everyone who sent me their good wishes - will see MIL tomorrow. Finger crossed she'll be OK.
Had a nightmare day today - took boys to school and then managed to see the Child behaviour guy. Just got to the kennels intime to drop off the dogs - the car was playing up lights flashing and not good, so I went straight to the garage where I had to sit there for an hour whilst they fixed it.
The fantastic thing is that it was all under warrenty so was free (I LOVE THAT WORD!) Then picked the kids up from school and they wanted to pay the wii (I'd promised to take them to a soft play centre - more money not spent!). Then tonight I went to my diet club where they're having a dress sale (of all the clothes you've slimmed out of) next week. I found a great dress to wear to my best friends engagement party this weekend and managed to talk them into selling it to me early.
Best thing is that the dress was a size smaller than I'd normally buy - YIPEE. The day got better as it went on!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0
