Hello William congratulations on your 65 day achievement!!!
Passed inspection, it went well! Am so relieved. About the budgeting, take it one step at a time you are doing your best. It will sort itself out I hope.
Fingers crossed,

morning all. Bit tired, work was, well work, journey in and out involved a bike ride, coach, train then tube x 2! Treated myself yesterday to a tube of Marks & expensive Tomato & basil soup. Actually wished I hadn't! Now skint and tasted crap! Still no ebay sales, guess people don't like my taste in books! Have to get some pics done today for the satellite dish and get that listed. Really should get into the shed and see whats in there. Still no news from santander!
Ok, advice needed from lurkers and posters alike. As you will no doubt be aware that I won a holiday to florence and want to renew our vows. You will also know I am skint! Would like your suggestions on how I might persuade the competition organisers to pay for a photographer for publicity shots? Know I am pushing it but needs must etc.
Feeling a little nervous at the moment as I really need that cheque from HSA to arrive tomorrow or wednesday to sure I don't incur charges. May have hit on a gadget to sell. More of that later. Have been lazy for the last few days and not taken sandwiches to work. Must focus. Must try harder. Today I will not gamble0 -
Stay strong.
Can't you just ring them and ask?
I dont know much about this sort of thing. But wedding pictures of a happy couple will get more publicity - why would they say no?
Or am i just being dim?

Not being dim, just me being scared to ask. I am not normally backward in coming forward, but feel embaressed to ask. Makes me feel like I am ungrateful.
I was going to wait until I got the prices back and would see what I could stretch to. Can definately afford the wedding vows. Would love to have the photographer as well. Will have to think about how I approach this one. They have been outstanding up to now.0 -
I will pray. Am sure it will be fine.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

William, just read your thread and I admire what you are doing. You have acknowledged your problem and doing something about it. Well done and keep positive. You have two beautiful children to help keep you on track. Plus sounds like they are plentiful with their hugs when you need one.
Regarding HSA they usually credit your bank account with a few days of receiving your claim form. I'd it's not in your account give them a call to ask about your claim. Say you are calling to check they have received it. Good luck with that and hang in there with the tough customers. Just think about payday each month. By the way, it's lovely to see a hands on father. You Gould be proud of yourself.Save £12k in 2017 #14
How much will you spend in 2017 #40 -
Good morning people. Or rather morning without the good. Thanks Micron for the advice regarding calling HSA. I did that and found out that I had used up my allowance for the year! Guess I will be cancelling my subscrptions to HSA forthwith. But it does mean I am £150+ down, with £123 left in my account., and £230 in DD's coming out before my next payday on the 19th May. Have to cancel the final work on the tooth and hope it holds for a few weeks until I can get some funds. Also tried to up my O/D for a week by £150, but refused on credit score. I rang the bank and they said it was because I had incurred charges for the past two months! These charges were because I went £4 over my limit in January, and £30 (for the £4 in January) in February. I did explain, that the charges should have been repaid to me and because they had paid a DD 3 days early (hence being overdrawn) but they were having none of it. Anyhoo, it means that I am probably screwed for the Santander card as well. Need to take a breath. Going swimming.0

Ok, am a bit calmer now. How even editted for spelling mistakes!
Am more confused than ever with Natwest. I supose I should really be angry but am trying to let it slide. More important things to worry about.
They denied me an overdraft (temporary until the 19th May) because of my credit score. I explained the situation with the HSA with wife and she has subbed me enough to cover the shortfall. I then checked my credit report and my credit score with experian, and they state I have a score of 947, wich is good! Amed with info, I then went into the branch, paid in the money. While there I moaned about my troubles to the receptionist. She did a check, which came back that I could have increased my OD to £1300 if I needed. I politely declined her offer, but left scratching my head. Do Natwest have their own peculiar credit rating system?
Didn't enjoy the swim. Mind too full of figures and rubbish to get into it. Did 12 lengths in 35 minutes and then had to leave for work. I have tomorrow off so may try again. Money is from our holiday savings fund for August. Thank god for Avon! Fortunately I will have sufficient in the overtime kitty to pay her back and add a little, as well as pay off some extra on the cards or OD. Oh one thing that scares me. On my credit report, my nationwide account is not shown. Can anyone explain a reason for this? Back to work in a minute. Sandwiches and a yoghurt, and a nice strong tea. Today I did not have a bet.
Power to the people and all that jazz...0 -
Hello readers. Here is the news. Life sucks with no money!
Day off today. Up with the kids at 6, took them to school. Then home to just lounge around and sort out the laptop. Swimming at 12. 20 lengths and knackered. Home, then attempt to sort out wifes car insurance. Last november she had a prang, avoiding a bloody bus that pulled out and she had to swerve to avoid. £2k damage to the our car, and the bus company denied any fault or liability as their bus wasnt hit and driver denied all knowledge. So, 9 years no claims down the toilet, and now premiums has doubled to £500. Hey ho.0
