To get on today has been an absolute nightmare ,it's slow as heck and took me 7 attempts to even get on .............can't help thinking going live was a bit too hasty.

Im writing out a guide here but It'll take time because I'm busy today, and I want lots of pics so it is really easy.

The very first post is about changing to enhanced and should be enough to get most people started.

The next bit i'll tackle is smilies in any mode because I think that's what people want the most

Hi folks,

Yes, the new Forum is incredibly slow and we can only apologise for that. As I mentioned in my announcement, this Forum is in it's most basic, raw form and we have lots of configuring and tweaking to do yet so I'm confident we'll get the speed up soon.

No, that numbers on the Forum is an accurate figure. We hit 900+ on the old Forum quite often so it's no suprise that we're clocking that many users today. That's a lot of people all trying to get the same information.

First, just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the people involved in getting the site up and running, you must have all had a very long and hectic weekend.

Things like signatures and avatars are hopefully going to be sorted soon.... we'll just have to come to terms with low post counts and missing stars..........just how sick ARE you of us moaning about them?

The layout is very much like the old site now and that's good in my opinion, we all liked it then and it makes the new twiddly bits easier to get used to than a completely new 'IN YER FACE' site with a different colour scheme.

I 'do' keep getting chucked off when I try to post, I have to keep logging back in and the links don't work 75% of the time, but we know what a big job this has been and I'm sure that we'll all bear with you until it's all running smoothly.....(like... tomorrow!!!)

Yes the links don't work all the time. When all the tweakings finished (end of the
week?) hopefully all will be great. At the moment it looks like there will be a lot to
explore.

I think we seem to have reverted to our login name and there is no longer an option for a Display Name?

Otherwise it all looks good Martin, I esp like the subscribe to threads options and thread display ordering nuances

And the number of posts is 72, where is had over 300 on the old forum...

Thanks very much for all the hard work you have put in to continue making this website the best on the internet. As others have said, the boards are incredibly slow at present but am confident this will soon be sorted.
