Just to say i miss the "last 200 posts" quick scan thing too. And i've been told its virtually impossible to restore due to the quick sampling thing.
Nothing's impossible with the right know-how. I don't know the structure of vBulletin, but I am sure it would somehow be possible to create a function that showed the last x posts.

One thing has been bugging me. Why choose vBulletin? It seems strange for a site that tells us not to waste money when we can get things for free... goes and buys some forum software when you could get similar for free?

    Now ISASmurf I'm shocked!!!

Remember MoneySaving is about value not pure cost.

Yabb was free software and it couldn't deal. We new we had to change, Vbull was relatively cheap and the speed and assistance we received meant i 'spent less' so to speak of the time of the MSE techie team on doing it and had less site downtime.

Ultimately i had to 'buy' for the future. With Yabb the board was already five times bigger than the next biggest Yabb board we could find. With Vbull there are others similar or even (for the moment) bigger - so it seemed the right move :)
