The party was great fun! A bit frantic at the start, we didn't get in to decorate until 7 so we were all racing around trying to get everything set up and everyone was annoying the heck out of me asking, 'What shall I do?' so I ended up snapping at them all, 'There's the box of stuff, there are the empty walls, figure it out!!!!' :rotfl: It all got done in the end though and (nearly) everyone wore super bright caribbean shirts and dresses so the effect was brilliant.
I haven't got proper photos yet, hopefully I'll get them soon! The chap we got to take pictures was really good, taking photos of the photo booth and wandering round taking photos of everyone in between. The photo booth was great fun, I'd recommend anyone having a party to set one up! It was so much fun grabbing props and doing silly poses, everyone thought it was a brilliant idea! The flip flops were great too, even I ended up with a pair on and they were crazily comfortable considering they were about 60p or something daft a pair!
My friend's cakes were amazing. Everyone said it was the best cake they'd had pretty much ever. If anyone is in the Harrogate area go to the Palm Court Cafe and have a slice of cake, doesn't matter which flavour, they're all fabulous! My Mum said, 'Wow, she could sell those cakes!'.... 'Errr... she does!' :rotfl:
When I get some proper pictures I'll post them, for now I'll leave you with a slightly drunk photo that my friend took of me cutting a rug in the awesome dress I changed into after my wedding dress bit the dust (I was sooooo hot!)Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Party looks fab Birdie.
Quick question, as your wedding dress was a goldie colour, what colour was your headpiece? My dress is ivory, verging on creamy/gold with a little bit of beading under the bust. I've just bought a silver headpiece and now worrying it won't match. I can't seem to picture them together and I'm now scouring the internet for something to match. My ring(s) - once I'm wearing my wedding ring are platinum so I'm leaning towards silvery jewellery.0 -

What are you going to do with all your free time now you have no weddings or parties to plan?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I have no idea Dinah! I've moved onto planning Orlando (only about 6 months to wait!) and I'm already annoying OH with it all! I do have to make a load of thank you cards though so I can start planning them this week and start making them once I know what I'm doing.
Luckily my brother is getting married in December so I can help him (well, help SIL2B since he's not that bothered!) which will keep me occupied!
In all honesty though, OH and I are so relieved it's all over now! We've been having weddings and wedding receptions for 6 weeks now, I think that's enough for anyone! :rotfl:
Swinstie, my headband was crystals in a silver setting and pearls, it kind of matched the sparkly brooch on my dress... and bling goes with any colour! I'll see if I can find a close up photo of my headband later. I was a bit of a mis-match TBH, gold-ish dress, pearl jewellery, gold ring on one hand, white gold ring on the other hand, silvery head band, silvery crystals on my toes (!!!)... the end effect was pretty good though (I thought so anyway!) so I'm sure you'll look lovely!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
