I have a die-cutting machine and I used it to cut all the bits out, it's a really handy toy to have, there's no way I could have cut all of the shapes out by hand! I got the letter stickers from Ryman's, I had been looking all round for good letter stickers and I just found them by chance in the kids craft section! And even better, the patterns on the letters match the patterns on the flip flops which is odd because I cut out all of the flip flops before I got the stickers!

I need to make about a gazillion more flip flops, trees and flowers now though because I've had the 'bright' idea that I could make my own bunting! At least I've got 5 months to get it done!

Loving the napkins Bubbles! I want the plates too!

I've been bored tonight and I've been looking at all sorts of wedding blogs and getting so many ideas, my favourites bar is full of articles to read fully and steal ideas from and to put into my ideas folder, it's going to take me a week to do it all! I'm getting quite antsy to have more things sorted since I've got quite a bit to do if I want the party to look fantastic as opposed to just 'fun'!

One of the things I've found is this which is really cute and fun, I'm going to get some paper umbrellas and a topiary ball thing and have a play to see how it looks. I've got the little buckets that my Mum got for me to stand them in if I decide to go for it.

The sad thing is that one of the blogs I've been looking at is a general party planning one and has loads of hen party ideas and I kept thinking, oooh, I want that...and that...and that! But I'm not planning my hen party (obviously) and my friends aren't as creative as I am so there's no chance that they'll even think of the type of things I've seen which is a shame because I tend to go all out when I'm involved in planning parties. I wonder if there's a nice subtle way of pointing them in the right direction?! ;)

I saw some of my friends at the weekend and was no so subtle about how pink I want my hen party to be so hopefully they'll take it on board! I really need to sort out my silly big pink Barbie dress though because I might end up ordering one from China and I have no idea how long it'll take to arrive!

We booked the honeymoon on Saturday, whoop whoop! We're going next September and we're staying here (Orlando!), we booked all of the theme park tickets too so we don't have to worry about sorting them later, cost nearly £1000 just for those! It'll be worth it though! I'm going to spread the word that if anyone wants to give us presents then Thomas Cook vouchers will be much appreciated!

I've been looking on some destination wedding boards and my head is now reeling with ideas, some of the brides really know how to push the boat out! I thought I was going a bit OTT with my out of town bags but it actually looks like I'm being tight! Some of them have personalised towels, travel mugs, posh flip flops, t-shirts, hats...all sorts! I think I'll be sticking with my little bags of mini treats, how the heck do you get 20 towels across the ocean?!

I have had a little thought for our table decorations, I'm going to get cheap photo frames (I'll spruce them up if needs be) and put photos from the wedding in them and have a different one on each table, and depending on how many frames I get I might scatter a few around on the bar/cake table etc too. So now on top of everything else I'm on the hunt for photo frames!

Very cute paper umberella trees, Birdie85! :D
  • Hi Birdie, just caught up a bit - love those umbrella trees! You do right planning as much as you can now - I think the thing I've learnt from Dinah's last minute lists is to try and be more organised early on, I'd hate to be that stressed in the last couple of days before my wedding. Your honeymoon looks lovely, I really want to go on holiday now :(

Was looking for purple flip flops recently and came across little flip flop floating candles, they were so cute. Google flip flops and you'll find them, thought of you when I seen them!

Personalised towels?! That is a bit OTT. Who wants one weird towel floating around in their collection?
