I still haven't decided what to do camera-wise. I don't really like the idea of having a Polaroid as I want digital copies so they can be shown around and shared. I thought about having something that can be signed but they can leave their messages on the 'Postcard' so it's not really necessary. I'm not sure if I should put out my parent's old digital camera with a wire attaching it to a table leg or something, get some disposable cameras or just ask people to send me copies of their photos (which will be hit and miss). It's a tough one! I'm even considering asking one of OH's workmates who's quite into photography to man the station for a couple of hours and pay him a little for doing it.

I love the palm tree too! And if I was you I would just get one. You only need one in an obvious place that everyone will see and be like 'wow!' and even though £55 is a lot it's one less thing to worry about :)

Your party looks like it will be fab! About the camera thing - I reckon maybe a mix of disposable cameras and asking someone to man it for a couple of hours?

Good idea about the cameras Zig, I'll have to see if I can get OH to talk his friend into manning it in exchange for a few pints!

My Barbie dress arrived today! Here it is, with my shoes and tiara! Annoyingly I can't try it on for real because it's a lace up back but I've had it held in place and it's pretty snazzy! Not bad for £30, glad I didn't spend more though since it's not the best quality... but I'll probably wreck it anyway so not too bothered!

Of course there'll be photos! I can't wait!

I plan on being fake tanned to within an inch of my life, not too mad on glitter as I'll still be finding it on me weeks later but I've got hot pink eyeshadow (worryingly it was already in my make up bag!), fake lashes and I just splashed out a whole 59p on a bubblegum pink lipstick! Ooooh, just remembered I've got a shimmery body dust thingy I can put all over me and it smells like champagne and strawberries! Yay!

Hi, with the postcard photo thing - my friend recently had a photo booth at her wedding reception. She got a friend who is a keen photographer to set up a camera on a tripod with one of the those wires with the click which operates the camera, and it worked really well (tho we never saw a lot of the pictures - we were quite drunk by the end tho lol)...

Not sure i have explained it properly but the wire had a button on the end so the people could hold it and click it to take a picture of themselves.

Maybe your photographer friend can source one of these wires and a tripod for not too much money to use with his camera??

We are having an abroad wedding too, in May next yr, so we may well poach your postcard idea for the Uk reception!! It's one of the best I have heard for a long time!!!

If ur wedding is before ours then I would love to see some pictures when you get them...
