Hmmm, I think I'll have to ask! I remember getting loads of injections when I was 15 which will be 10 years ago!

Got my posh paper for the invites, and I'm printing them on Wednesday rather than tomorrow and then I'll be up to my eyeballs in paper for days and days afterwards as everything needs trimming down to the right size! It took long enough to make one, I have no idea how long it will take to make 20!

No Bubbles, this is 15 years later that I've got the letter!? Who knows, may as well get it though eh?!

Sounds daunting Birdie, will you do them one by one? wehn I'm doing things like that I tend to to the different stages for all of them, ie, do all the trimming, then all the stamping or whaterver, then all the sticking in...

I think I'll do it in little batches; I'll be printing everything tomorrow then I'll trim it all down to size and once I get a long reach stapler I'll stick it all together and pop them in the passport holders. I'll just sit myself down at the table, stick 30 Rock on the TV and beaver away!

I saw my Mum last night and she gave me some contact lense boxes that she thought I could turn into little suitcases to put the invites in ('So much nicer than a plain envelope'). Whilst I think it's a nice idea there's no way I could make 20 suitcases! I like the idea of sending them in a 'nice' way I don't really want to be spending the next few weeks working on it because lets face it, it's just going to go in the bin!

Hmm, you might also want to factor in the cost of sending loads of boxes as well - might work out expensive. I'd be tempted just to use brown envelopes maybe with a luggage tag type sticker (Name: ....... Address: .........) for the addresses and maybe some stickers like the destination stickers you used to get on old suitcases? I'm inclined to agree with you though I wouldn't go to that much effort that your mum's on about. Maybe ask her if she'd like to do it for you? ;)

Hehe, I don't think that would go down well! I bought posh little white envelopes for them ages ago and I like the idea of decorating them with stamps. Will have a look around to see if I can find nice stickers or stamps to pretty up the envelopes!

Birdie today I saw these sort of summery beach umbrellas in home bargains which was called a hawaiin parasol. They had pink and blue but I didnt see a price. I took a photo on my phone and emailed it to myself but I dont know how to upload it onto here! If youre interested let me know and I'll try and find out!

Oooh great, thanks for that Tink! I'll have to check Home Bargains this weekend to see if my local one has them in! Can I PM you my e-mail address so you can send me the pic to check them out?

  • Sooo, we've got the rum, got the palm trees, got the salsa DJ, the Latin food... And half our guests are stranded because of the volcano.

    Bah.

I'm only taking this so well because I just finished a week of nights and should really go to bed.
