You know what Tink, I totally forgot to go to TK Maxx at the weekend! Think I'm going out with my friend on Saturday as she wants me to try some BM dresses on for her so I'll try to have a look! I might have a trip to a Monsoon outlet later in the year once new stock starts coming in and they send the summery stuff to the outlets!
Dinah, I know everybody doesn't have to match but since when did being a Bridezilla mean being logical?! Is it wrong that I've asked everyone to stick to a theme when picking out their clothes so they all fit in at the wedding? MIL has told me to pick her a dress and she'll wear whatever I want her to wear as she has no idea. My friend pretty much told me the same! I'm looking forward to all the shopping trips we've got coming up!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. lol i love that inner bridezilla coming out! I think it doesnt matter because you only have a small wedding party you obviously have a good sense of style so if people want you to pick things then I think thats awesome! As long as you obviously take peoples budgets into account when you pick things!0

I always think monsoon dresses look lovely on the mannquins but whenever I try them on they look awful. Don't know if it's just me being the wrong shape! I love the ones you've put up though, they're so pretty!Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0

That's very true Raspabarbas, I doubt my favourite dress (the long one) will look good on me as I'll probably look all lumpy, but I can dream and wish and hope!
I'm hoping that the purple dress I like for my friend comes on sale as at the minute it's far too expensive, but I've seen a plainer (but still pretty) version of it on the Marisota website at half the price so I'll be sending her the link! Even if she doesn't go for it at least she'll get an idea of what to look for as she doesn't really do dresses and has no idea what suits her!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I saw some purple dresses like the one you posted for your friend in Tesco last night (I love the theme thats why I must always be spotting things for you I'm sorry!) but I can't find them online,
This one is a little similar to some that you posted though

and it might be a little cheaper than monsoon!0 -
LOL Tink, I think once you get something in your head you're always spotting bits! My friend's colour scheme for her wedding is pale pink and green and I'm always seeing things in those colours now!
I'll have to add Tesco to my 'must look at' places! Thanks for the spot!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
The lovely Tartantotty sent me these, pretty darn cool don't you think?! Thanks Tartan!
I'm going to set up a little decorations box now I've got something to put it in, any idea where I can get 200 leis for not a lot of money?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Depends what not a lot of money is, but try this

The bottom one is 144 for £39.99 and you could maybe get some of the fancier ones for the wedding party, paretns and so on?It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -
Thanks for the link Jackie! I've saved it to my favourites! I think instead of buying loads of leis to hand out I might just set up a little beach corner with props for people to take pictures and I'll leave it to everyone coming to sort out their own fancy dress! I don't want to hand out something I wouldn't want myself and I can't afford to buy loads of the nicer looking ones!
I'm also really cross with myself about my invites. I printed everything off on Wednesday and started cutting everything down on Friday night. The last page (with the passport ID photo bit on) is a right c0ck up! I used a screen grabbing tool to copy the whole thing across since I'd used a template and it was being a bit awkward to move and the screen grabber copies whatever is showing on screen, even the cursor. I was really careful and made sure that the cursor wasn't visible and it copied over OK and printed it off, not noticing anything amiss. I was cutting the 5th one to size and suddenly noticed that all of the foreign words had the red squiggly spell check lines underneath them! D'oh! I showed OH and said, 'Spot the deliberate mistake' and he said, 'Errrr, we got together in October not November?' Argh, another mistake! I've fixed it now but I have to sneakily print them all off again!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Oh no! At least you were only on to the 5th one though, it could have been a lot worse!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
