June last year I was trekking the Great Wall of China and now a stroll with the dog is an effort!

I went there last April! I know what you mean! I ran up the wall, the final part before you cannot go any farther. Now I feel in pain just walking up three flights of stairs in the office!

    Hi Ceniza

Wasn't it an amazing place to visit, we were trekking on the non restored parts, so had to crawl on our hands and knees for some of it, a real adventure!

    Hi Lemon Tree

I'm so glad I went, but I'm not so glad I paid for most of it on my Lloyds credit card! Still I'm a changed woman now.

I am going to Cambodia with my friend when we are debt free, it's good motivation to have a goal and I have a photo of Angkor Wat stuck on my office wall to remind me (although sometimes it depresses me!).

It was amazing. We were in beijing for a week. Don't miss the toilets though LOL

Visited everything we could, the olympic village, great wall, summer palace, forbidden city, tienanmen square, temple of heaven, Beijing Zoo... Ahhh I miss it so much. Going to try to get to Shanghai next April though :D

When on the great wall we just kept to the visitors main tracks. Turned left at the top, walked as far as we were allowed then turned back. Got some amazing pictures though :D - when we went there we got this taxi (blacked out mini van) on the way, was tres scary as we didn't know who these people were haha!
