Hi Happy
Did you have a good holiday as well? It was so hot in Rhodes, I actually had to spend the middle part of the day in the shade, unheard of for me!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I honestly can't think of anything I want, which is always the way when you have spare cash! Plus I want to colour in another pink square on my spreadsheet, I have my debt broken down into £50's and colour them in every £50 down, when did I get so sad lol!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hi Woo,
It's been ages since I popped in so I hope you don't mind me dropping in to say hello.
Sounds like you had a fab holiday! Just checked your sig and that is a massive amount paid off your debts, you are doing so well, you prove just what hard work and determination can achieve. The payrise will help, don't forget that the tax free allowance goes up next April which should work out around an extra £15/£20 a month as well.
Just had a quick thought about the interest on your card, is it more to do with the period they apply interest as we have had some 30 day months in between the 31 day-ers. I can only relate it to our payroll period for hourly paid staff where the amount of overtime they get depends on the number of days in the month, sorry has that confused you even more? :rotfl:
Best wishes
Jody

Hi Herewego!
Hi Jody, I think you might be right about the interest but I'm still convinced Lloyds are robbing gits as well lol! I didn't know about the tax allowance, that's good news thanks for letting me know xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I have just had a row with Lloyds today how can they estimate the interest on "if you only pay the minimum", then you pay more and they add even more interest. The man/boy on the end of the phone said I can send you a letter to explain the interest and how its calculated, who needs a letter to explain they think of a number and add a bit more. I guess they must take these kind of calls everyday. I have 2 cards with them at the mo but now im off to ebay as I will only have 1 by xmas and they can stick their interest.

Herewego I have had the same bloody argument with them, they can never explain why, they just confuse you further. I once paid £300 over the minimum and yet the interest applied was more than they estimated, how?
I am convinced they are having me over, they make my blood boil.
I still owe them over £8k so am stuck with them, have set the goal of next July to clear this though, will have to keep using my hatred of them for motivation!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I have overpaid by £1400 and they have charged me more than estimated i'm all out to clear it asap only £5100 but then ther is the other one £5040, and it's not going to happen unless I run back to the other computer and get ebaying. When im rich I may buy some shares in Lloyds as they know how to make moneyMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
