I'm not sure Kat, I think you can buy an annual prescription instead then.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Have been to the doctors this morning (nothing interesting or serious!), can you believe they were running 50 minutes late, its so frustrating! Also couldn't believe a prescription is now £7.40!
I went last week, appointment at 8:30am, got seen at 8:50 - how on earth can you already be 20 minutes late at 8:30...
Also, you don't have to pay prescription price if it's cheaper over the counter. I also think that it's better to have a standard £7.40 price for ALL drugs then a range in price like you do in the States, where you can pay HUNDREDS of Dollars for your drugs...Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...

Prescriptions are indeed free in Wales, although, to see a GP here you need to know you're ill 2 weeks in advance.
That is a lot for prescriptions though! How does it work, do you still have to pay if you have an illness which requires daily meds for life?
If you have one of a specific list of illnesses, you can get a medical exemption so you get all your scripts for free. I've got one as I have hypothyroidism so am on daily thyroxine tablets.

£2.60 to Lloyds
Been lurking on your diary
Do you pay a little amount each day, like from your loose change or something? Or is an odd amount in your bank account balance that you transfer over? I've seen a few people doing small payments regularly, just wondered how you decide how much to pay.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Hi mrsspendalot
At the moment I have been paying for things with my debit card as opposed to cash, then rounding down the number left and sending to Lloyds. This saves me trekking to the bank to pay in coins and then paying it off Lloyds (this is what I used to do).LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

That's what I wondered .... I think I could do that with the odd bit of my bank balance left each day/week or something .... every little helps and all thatOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

It certainly does, and I'm sure all these little payments have the added bonus of annoying the banks

I wondered how they viewed the frequent small payments
I do have a diary, yes, it's ambitiously called £12k in 12 monthsOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
