I'm also due a bonus in August so can at least say that going won't affect my overpayments
Although why am I trying to justify it? I WANT A HOLIDAY!!!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I am due a bonus in September, am thinking I might have to buy a cheap car - a little 1.0 KA or something, I can't keep spending all this money on fuel!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Think that definitely sounds like something to look in to.
Will be money well spent if it cuts down the horrendous fuel costs xDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Its hard as my car is reliable and I might end up with a lemon! My best friends OH is a mechanic though, so would take him along with me.
Still, can't do anything until at least September!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I loved my little Ka, it was so reliable and the fuel economy was great
I'd definitely recommend it as a runaround. I had the old style one, so it was a 1.3l engine, nippy enough to get out of trouble on the motorway if required and actually fun to drive. I'm still a bit in mourning that it was written off even though I love my new car
not sure about the new ones though, I haven't driven one

afternoon chickens. how nice for you to have marbella to look forward to - I think having something in the diary makes it actually easier to stick to the regime in between times.

I think if you take your mechanic friend with you, then that would defo be worth looking into. Petrol is horrendous, so even if it needs a couple of minor fixes, it could still ultimately save money.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. i've got a 1.2 punto and it averages 50m/gal. which is pretty decent really for a petrol. It's also nippy, roomy and the boot is good. Unfortunately no bonus's here
i used to love my christmas bonus at one place, mostly went towards the credit card bill, but then would get spent again, i feel like i've been fighting this debt for 13 years! I can't wait until next may.

We still don't know if we are getting bonuses this year, if we do it's going straight to debt. It bought a 42 inch TV and stand last year - although my TV was emitting a funny smell and you had to turn it on 30 mins before you wanted to watch it so it would stop flashing on and off - in hinesight though, did I need a 42???Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off.
