It would be about a 40 minute walk to work, so do-able but is just too much hassle as I like to go to the gym straight from work and I don't have time on the nights I go to Gloucester. Just excuses for I can't be bothered really!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

It's a pain when it's that far - a few years ago I lived a 45 min walk from work and it was only cause I was taking the dog to work too that I made myself do it for her, otherwise I would have been in the car every time!Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0

I have been fighting a battle with the dreaded Ll**ds for years and have this week gone and closed my account and received back the great sum of £1.39!! I was looking forward to telling them exactly why I was closing my account including the horrendous interest charges and c**king up my internet banking and security on numerous occasions but all they said was ok and closed it!
I am now attacking A &L and getting rid of my overdraft - they have just doubled the max interest charge from £5 to £10 per month and I am sure they didn't tell me. Sorry to hijack. Well done with all your payments and with your positivity.:T
A+L did this with me too. However they did send an update of the terms and conditions a month ago so I knew it was coming.

True. I just see that Lloyds interest and think how much quicker things could get paid off if it wasn't there!!Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)

I know - its ludicrous - particularly as I am in spitting distance from London anyway! such a rip off, but they have us by the proverbials as there really isnt an alternative. I've got a tube line nearby but its so unreliable and takes more than twice as long to get in.LBM Oct 2010 - £44,665.08:eek: (exc overdrafts)
