    Did you win then?

Yep. Well, it didn't go to court, fortunately. They finally agreed to stop chasing me after I wrote to the chief executive :)

  • Morning Woo, not sure whether I'm too late on this but if you haven't paid the fine yet, don't. Provided you appeal before the payment is due your 14 days are put on hold. If you lose the appeal you get 14 days from the date of the notice. That information should be on the ticket, if not, you might just want to check.

Once you've paid even if you win it's much harder to get the money back.

I lost my appeal when, with a valid Disability badge belonging to my friend, we parked where we had parked many times before but not for a few months. We hadn't realised that the restrictions to parking had changed and it was now a loading only parking area.

    Good luck.

Thanks. This is where they make their money. They lose documents people send into them, mainly SORN declarations, then months later fine people up to £80 a time for undeclared SORN. They threaten people with court action if they don't pay, so despite you doing everything required of you by law, they accuse you of not doing it.

(Un)fortunately, I'm very stubborn, and refused to pay. Told them to take me to court or stop harassing me. They couldn’t prove I'd not sent it. They make about £13m a year of these fines, it's ridiculous!! !!!!!!S the lot of them :)

Oh, and well done on the payment :)

Damm have received a £60 fine for driving in a bus lane in Glos :( This was back in March when I drove to my b/f's for the 1st time and got ridiculously lost! Luckily I only had to pay £30 if settled within 14 days.

Morning Woo. I think you should pay it because they could charge you double outside the set time. It normally states this on the document. I appealed and I lost but still had to pay £30 as I had contacted them and they agreed to this over the phone.

Hope this helps. Put it down to experience I say. Not worth the hassle as they rarely decide in your favour.
Hope all else going well for you. Lovely to see your pennies adding up.

    God bless
