Damm have received a £60 fine for driving in a bus lane in Glos
This was back in March when I drove to my b/f's for the 1st time and got ridiculously lost! Luckily I only had to pay £30 if settled within 14 days.

that's a bit of a bu99er. Have a check as they may have to get the ticket to you within a certain time limit and March is a long time ago.0

I received a fine once when I pulled over in a parking bay type thing in London as it was about 4 minutes before the congestion zone charge finished. I received a fine about 3 months later and enclosed they had sent me a picture of me sitting in my car in the loading bay. They said it was fineable and the same, if I settled early it would be half price. I wrote back and said that I was lost and had pulled over to look at a map rather than cause an accident by driving aimlessly. I had a letter back to say that "this was still a fineable offence but on this occasion they would waive the fine"Just keep swimming!0 -
I did think about asking them to waive it as I was genuinely very lost but the 14 day deadline ends Monday so I thought I should just get on and pay it!

Beccie I don't think you can do that. Paying is pretty much acceptance of guilt. I don't think you can appeal after paying.Adam's diary - My Debt Diary - The Challenge | LBM May 2010 with £23,343.35 | £16,141.46 to go...
