Me 2. I'm on the "buy a new car when debt free" bandwagon - just hope mine lasts me that long. Want a focus, black, preferably zetec or similar.

I've been thinking about getting a new car when DF, but then isn't that just getting back into debt, albeit on a car this time, but it's the same thing...

Hey Woowoo just started reading your thread, and thought I would say hi :). I'm curious about you paying pennies into the Barclays - how did you do this as I would like to pay off mine in this way (among others) but the banks I have been to (Santander and Halifax to name two) have told me I have to bag them up so I have been saving all the change I find up. Thanks :)

You can pay in what ever you want. Just make sure the coins are the same in the bags as they weigh them to count, so all the 1p's in the same bag. They get assy having to count coins otherwise.

There is one bank that has those machines you can chuck your pennies into and it counts them and pays them in for you, I don't know what bank it is though.

That's pretty cool. Think I'll do that then. I know the Metro bank has a coin machine but I don't have an account with them.

I really hold them 75% and Barclays the other 25%, but wanted to appear to accept some responsibility :rotfl:

Of course, but that's assuming we'd take credit to pay for it which I am guessing is a bif no no :)
When I get a new car it will be with cold hard cash and mine all mine :rotfl:

Hi Woo, sorry I haven't popped by in a while...

Well as most of you know I got debt free just before christmas, have be doing a combination of saving and spending since.

Look at my sig for saves and going to Turkey in 17 days with OH. We've decided to go all inclusive for a week and just really relax.

Also just paid for my car insurance for the first time in full.

We're also just about to book for Disney in Florida for next year - that's what target 3 is for!

I love the feeling of having the money there to just use as I please, knowing that I had the money there to pay for my insurance, holiday, spending money and just general treats has been fab :)

    Hi Pennies

All inclusive in Turkey for a week will be fab, a lovely treat and well deserved after working so hard to get DF :)

I can't wait for the day I'm in your position, its good motivation to know others have done it.
