I'm scared I will slip back into spending mode all too easy and enjoy it far too much!
Still don't need to worry about it for a few years yet lol!
Unfortunately slipping back into debt is sooooo easy  I've done it a few times and should know better. We were earning enough money and debt wasn't a problem the first time, until interest rates jumped up to 15%, yes 15%. We got over that one and life was comfortable again. Money coming in got complacent and then redundancy hit. This time has to be the last for us. We can pay off OH's cc next month (we have some money coming) with a small surplus. A plan then needs to worked to make sure that all debt is cleared by OH's retirement date so we can have a reasonable standard of living and a few holidays of course.0 -

oooooh how exciting! It's thoughts like this that pick me back up when i am thinking of "what's the point - I will never clear it" and such like.
Loving everyone's ideas.
For me personally I will save for then buy a new car. With £800 a month spare I hope to do this after a few months as won't be getting a new new one, just newer than my current bless it. I have serious worries mine won't see me to DF date.
Definitely having a blow out the first month but who knows, maybe my new found ways will stop me as it's ages away yet lol!
Also I want to take the family to florida, diney land and DH to New York for his 40th (9 years time) so will need to save for that as it'll be a absolute spend what you like holiday - once in lifetime for us.
