I was looking to buy a house in Italy a few years ago so went to college to study the language - I loved it and can read the text quite well but i can't speak it - I get the tenses and word order mixed up and imam certain I sound like the French policeman from allo allo - "good moaning" etc etc!0

Have just gotten a little stroppy with my sister. She was meant to be walking the dog with me this afternoon, I texted her at 11.30 to see what time, have had no answer so just rang her. She said she hadn't even looked at her phone yet today, so I told her not to bother.
Of course I have been totally unreasonable and now feel guilty.
I'm just in a grump today as I am always the one that makes the effort with my friends and family and it would be nice if they made the contact with me first for a change. They seem to think I just have all day to sit around until their ready, which is kind of true but besides the point.
Sometimes I don't like myself very much!
I had to hi-light this bit above, I know EXACTLY what you mean, that's why I have little/no friends now! I gave up keep trying to organise things when they either kept cancelling on me or not bothering to reply! I wonder if it's an age thing, people seem to get so wrapped up in the BF's/Kids/House that everything else just goes to pot! I haven't seen my 'best' friend since August even though I have text/emailed 4/5 times to try and arrange to meet up, she just never makes time for me. I have another 'friend' who constantly cancels on me, no joke, it must have been at least 3 times this year! I just give up, I go so far with making effort then I can't be bothered.
I talk to you guys more than I do my non cyber 'friends'

I think you fall into certain roles with your friends, mine is I am chief organiser, then if you stop doing all the running around no one gets together anymore. Not only is it very frustrating, it also makes you feel unimportant.
Was your shift ok last night?LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

I've even tried organising people but I just don't get anywhere!
Pub was ok, really quiet from 8 onwards, I must say that after 2 weeks off I am looking forward to not having to do a 2nd job again :rotfl:

Depends on my bonus and payrise, if they are enough then I will drop it from Xmas unless she drops my shifts...she might only want me one night every other week which would actually be much better so I would probably carry on

It always takes me ages to catch up with you Woo after a weekend of not being on here!
Well done on the payment :T
Sorry to hear you didn't have a great weekend but glad you made up with your sister. It's difficult to know what to do with these things. I think if you feel that people are only doing things cause you arrange them and don't really want to I'd wash my hands of it and not bother anymore.
But also people are busy, and life does take over sometimes. My best friend I see regularly and I'm lucky as the pub I work in is also everyone's local so dropping in there means seeing people with nothing ever being arranged. But I'm amazed sometimes how long in between times I don't see some people and love it when I do get a chance to catch up and am normally everyone's surprised how long has passed. Don't disagree with how you feel at all but just saying they may not be doing it on purpose, they may just not realise, or things may be genuinely hectic for them, or maybe they have no money and don't want to say etc etc.......
Hope that's ok to sayDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Hi Becs
Your completely right with what you are saying, people are busy and it's not that they don't want to stay in touch or do things, but it would be nice if they made the effort off their own backs just occasionally.
In all fairness I was just being a moody mare yesterday lol!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
