wanna-b-rich wrote: »Dragonlew - I'd definately like to go in November. Hopefully the travel lodge will release some more £9 rooms, will keep an eye out and give you the heads up. For some reason the Birmingham rooms don't go that fast, hence the reason I'm off up there in the summer hols for a few days. Personally I love central Birmingham fab shopping and nightlife and then if I can time it right the NEC:D0

The base is solid and covered with a pale grey foam and I'm scared of messing the die up now,. I'm starting to think that mine aren't s'posed to seperate. I have dies MDF001 (cirlce), MDF002(square), MDF003 (oval) and MDF004 (rectangle). Can anyone advise me what I'm doing wrong or is it simply that they aren't supposed to seperate?? This picture of a card produced using my die suggests that they do seperate..........Help:(:(wanna-b-rich wrote: »OK - think I've sussed the Nellies - found this. So it looks like mine don't seperate, will try in a while once I've got the kids in bed.
WBR I have MFD005 and MFD008 which are those which I linked to earlier. Those definitely do separate. The picture of the blue card that you linked to shows only one frame from the set of square ones and these exampleson Nellie's site show only one of the frames from the set being used so to me it suggests they can be separated. It would seem a waste to cut the whole set out of one piece of card stock if you only want one frame of that colour.
Maybe you could contact the people where you purchased them from and ask if they should separate, or you could email Nellie's shop at the addy on the contact form here, I imagine someone would be able to communicate in English.
I do feel for you, I had a very frustrating couple of days when I got mine and had to ask so many questions on here and another forum.0 -

have loaded a couple more cards on my blog tonight, 1 is the spanish themed one I was asking about thanks to Dawnteabags suggestion of a fan card thats what i did.:)
And a beautiful fan card it is to - well done - I shall have to push fan cards up my "list of cards I'd love to make but have never quite got around to" (it's a long list!) - it looks really effective.
Good luck for tomorrow Rusty - hope things go as well as they can do.
Thanks again to you all for your best wishes. "s&on" seems to have settled down a little. He's back in his own bed for the first time tonight - he's been sleeping in mine for the last few nights "because it's safer". A gentle bit of bribery in the shape of a spiderman bedside lamp seems to have done the trick
but I found out today that his cousins all know 'the whole truth' - one of them is a bit older than "&son" and his Mum caught him googling on the internet so had to make sure he got the info as sensitively as possible. His sister is just 8 months older than Tom and she's been told too.
So - now I really have no choice but to do the same or risk him getting half a story from different people.
There's no particular rush - he's unlikely to see them for a couple fo weeks as we're away for the next 2 weekends. I'm going to take advice from his teacher, the head-teacher and the vicar before doing it though. How do you explain something like that?0 -

wanna-b-rich wrote: »Hello & welcome Bitsy Beans.I definately think the die cutters are worth the money. I have a Sizzix purely because I like to do other crafty things and wanted a machine that would cut more than paper/card. A lot of the ladies on here have Cuttlebugs which they love. I guess it's all down to what you want to do with the die cutter.
I'm a cuttlebuggler - you can use them to cut felt (as long as the die isn't too fiddly). my main issue is with the size though - most of the things you cut out are quite small and I like to scrapbook on 12x12 so they're not much good for bigger projects.
I'm saving up for a cricut (which is an electronic die-ctter) That will cut out letters up to 12 inches etc. I'll be keeping my bug though for the embossing - which I love..0 -

I have done a challenge card (no egg) but can't really post it on my blog or here until it reaches its recipient.
Can I still enter it - I can email you a pic as proof if you like?0 -
