    Hi everyone!
I've been quiet bc I've been concentrating on learning how to crochet and also I made a breastfeeding pillow in readiness for the baby's arrival. All the ones to buy couldn't be washed which seems daft to me as something is bound to end up on it so I made one out of fleece with separate covers. That way the liquids won't be absorbed into the pillow itself and I'll be able to wash the covers as needed - plus I get to have different covers and pretty ones too!
As for crochet - it is so satisfying!! I've only made two dishcloths (to practice the different stitches) but now feel confident enough to try making that bonnet I've been on about for the baby. The dishcloths are on my blog if you're really bored!! :rotfl:

I did make some Easter cards this morning but they were extremely simple as for some reason Easter cards don't inspire me. But I got them done and posted. :)

need some help please. I have done some small cross stitches because i was bored and now want to make these into cards. I dont however want to buy aperture cards that these will fit into as they are all different. Is there a machine or tool that i can get that wil cut the hole i need in a card for me? I would just use a compass and draw the circle and cut it out but i want them to look a bit more proffesional :-) Want to continue making cards as the ones i have made in the past have been greatly received and i really need to start selling stuff to make some extra cash :-)
2012 - must pay off last CC and maybe overdraft then debt free woop!!

npsmama Great dishcloths - what kind of wool did you use?

6969annw There are loads of expensive tools but if you just want to cut ovals or squares how about these. I know Hobbycraft sell them cos I've looked at them myself and they look ok (haven't bought them cos I'm gonna get a cuttlebug)
  • ali.b.123 - hope you got all your housework done (you can come and do mine if you've finished) :D

Rainmac - love the easter baskets on your blog, were they very difficult to make?

Madfrog - have sent you a pm but thank you so much for the package that arrived today (kids tea on hold for a few minutes while I have a play!)

General question to anyone who has a blog. I was thinking about starting one but who do you think is best? I have heard of blogspot, are there any other ones out there that are free and easy to use? Your expert advice would be greatly appreciated thank you ladies. I just dont want one that is difficult to use (although I am quite good on a computer normally)

Hope all those who were feeling poorly are better now. My OH seems to be on the mend now thank goodness.

Twinkle You are welcome, I use blogspot and it easy to use, I am not very good with computers really but I set mine up no problem.

THE-WIFE I have just realised that I have blogged your card I have made before I have posted to you :o So can you not read my blog please for a couple of days

Well have made a basket for my niece today, I am sure I must be doing something wrong as it takes me forever to make cards and what looks like simple projects take me hours... I must faff around too much :D

Was hoping my parcel of goodies would arrive today so I could have a play with the inks I ordered but still waiting

    Hello Everyone!

    Hope everyone is ok?

Npsmama, well done on the crochet! Those dishcloths look good! Although I've tried lots of crafts, including knitting and cross stitch, I've never managed to get my head around doing crochet for some reason, so well done! Same as dressmaking, even though I love cross stitching, I don't like real sewing like hems etc - lol

I've been busy making three more towel cakes today, one for a 16th birthday, one for a 40th birthday and a mini pamper cake, oh and an Easter chick one - lol - I blogged these for you to see.

Best wishes and hugs to everyone else who might be feeling poorly or had bad news or who's feeling fed up in general, and hugs to everyone just for being yourselves! lol
