they were lovely and are stroked on a regular basis :rotfl:
:rotfl: now that I would like to know!! Don'y give them away sell them so you can use the money to buy some new ones!! .... Just give me first refusal when you sell them :rotfl:
I'm not really an animal lover even fluffy bunnies . i wouldn't deliberately hurt one but i don't want none. Think that might be why i'm not keen on them. I must prefer children and fairies i have lots of those.
I never sell anything i just give it away but i'll send you pics before i put anything on crafty place. lolCross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

evening all, I reslised earlier that I meant to say yesterday that my Scor-pal FINALLY arrived! only like 17 days after I ordered it! still at least I've got it now, have used it to make my CP card swap card! Choccy you can have it at the NEC
PONR I am so jealous of you being able to shop so much in the US, I spent so long in Michaels and Joanns when we went last october my OH got really bored
Snipped!
Happy to hear your Scor-pal has finally arrived. Did you find it easy to use and were the results alot better using it?? I have the MS scoring board but have not used it yet. Also bought the Craft Companion Top Scoring board before I managed to get the MS one so will stick that on Ebay when I get back!!
I find Michaels and Joanns a good place to relax and pass time!! My OH has been a few times and gets abit fed up so I tend to try to go without him!!!
The distressed inks look great and I have 3 of them to use with the blending tool when I get home!!!! I like the way you can edge your paper/card. Tim Holtz makes it look simple but I bet it isn't!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
Ponr The demo was FREE!!! That was a big bonus. The lady was using the 'spreader' as I call it for both distressed inks and alcohol inks from what I could see. There were free demo's at the craft show last week end too. Maybe one of the other crafters can clarify what I said?
Wow Hassy - FREE!!!!!! I wonder if Hobbycraft get any free demos like that, must check out and see.
I didn't see the foam pads here for it only the felt ones so will see how it goes with those first. Will be cheaper for me if it works!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
wanna-b-rich - thanks for the link; I wonder if they'll get any more in at that price?
hassy - I know what you mean about the cleaning; I had my sister's baby on Saturday night and then sister staying here after her night out - I had to clear away all the xmas wrapping paper and crafting gear in my bedroom, lol. Thanks for the link to Wigan Crafts, they look really cheap. I'll wait and see what I get from the US site and the NEC before I order anything.
PONR - thanks for the link; the blending tool is nearly £2 cheaper at Wigan Crafts! It's out of stock now but you can still add it to your basket as they're expecting more in next week. They sell the foam pads as well. I bought a heat tool, but I don't see why you couldn't use a hairdryer TBH.
TinyPablo - how lucky are you?! What a great load of stash. I think the most I've ever spent on stash in one go was the £60/£70 I spent at the NEC last November.
Rusty - I'm so glad you'll be able to make it to the NEC. I know it sounds odd, but I hope your grannybasher has a lovely funeral.
Gemma - You finally got your scor-pal! :j You'll have to let us know if you think the MS one is better than the ones we got at the NEC.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Gemm - Glad your score board has arrived!!
Craftygranny - Ooooh thanking you! :j
JHB - Doesn't sound odd at all, you could say it sounds odd when I say I am looking forward to it, not because I have to say goodbye, but because my Daddy will be there and I haven't seen him in just over 2 years!! He has seen DS but last time he saw DD in the flesh she was 9 months old and she is now nearly 34 months old!!
Bunbun - Cross stitch looking great!!I may call well call you for adult conversation tomorrow!!
Sorry I am not being ignorant when you lot are on about these inky things but I haven't a clue how it all works!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

the thing I found nice about using the scorpal was that all the measurements are on it, my previous scoreboard (a dovecraft one) was just ridges so if you had to score at a particular point I had to measure with ruler, mark with pencil then line up on a rivet and score, very faffy. the card I made last night was so easy, I was following a tutorial anyway but it was so nice being told 'score at 2"' and not having to measure it with a ruler first :j
we are hoping to go to Vegas later on in the year, I've already been googling craft store locations :rotfl:
RE the distress inks, yes Tim makes it look soooo easy, I love how he makes the edges of stuff look 'cloudy' with ink, and its all blended so perfectly. I tried it just using an inkpad once but you could see all the lines of the edge of the inkpad and it looked terriblehope you get on ok with your blender and inks and do show us the results!!

I was just thinking i haven't a clue with these inky things either but if it goes well for everyone else i might have to give it a go. lol .
Rusty . It will be good for you to see your dad just a shame about the circumstances. I hope your grannybasher has a beautiful send off .
Hassy I don't do the driving . god forbid i have a chauffeur (oh) . I'm just a passsenger going to see my baby off . He scowls when i call him my baby but 27 or not it's what he is lol.
I made sure he packed everything including the 4 giant boxes of oxos his wife asked me to send. She has a taste for shepherds pie since she was here a few months ago.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
