HELP!
I'm 26, 5'10" size 10 and have not been on a night out for, well, ages!
I have arranged as a birthday treat for my new boyfriend and I to go to see his favoriate band at the O2 academy in Newcastle in a couple of weeks. I have no idea what to wear. I have been trawling the internet in the hope of finding some ideas but I stuck. In my mind I sort of have an idea of a long top, leggings and a belt but really don't know!
I'm hoping the fashionistas on here may be able to dress me!2009 wins: Cadburys Chocolate Pack x 6, Sally Hansen Hand cream, Ipod nano! mothers day meal at Toby Carvery! :j :j :j :j0 -

The O2's normally not a dressy place (well it never has been when Ive gone) who are you going to see? I would go with the leggings, boots and top idea so you will be comfy and not too hot if you are jumping around (if you are anything like me lol) What do you normally wear? Will leggings be taking you out of your comfort zone? Will you be self conscious all night?**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."**0 -

Hello Dieselhead? Who are you going to see? Standing or seated?
When I'm gig going I'm always standing and right at the front. Priority is given to footwear first and something that isn't too hot and can stand being showered in cider. I always wear an across-the-body bag, too.
Last gig I saw was the Editors at Wolves Civic. I wore skinny jeans with a vintage beaded dress over the top, a old denim jacket I tied around my waist and knee-high boots that are donkey's years old, tatty but ridiculously comfy.
Your outfit plan sounds fine but like Retro says, is it out of your comfort zone or something you wouldn't normally wear?0 -

Who are you going to see? I've only been to the O2 once since it's changed.. it'll always be the Carling to me.Long top, leggings and a belt sounds great. If you're standing footwear is the most important. If you're planning on going near the front do NOT wear pumps!
If you're buying something new make sure it's easy to wash and you don't mind too much if cider gets thrown on you.
Skinny jeans, boots, a nice top and a cardi that is easy to take off would be best I think. I haven't been to a gig in far too long!0 -
Can you lovely ladies take a look at a dress I plan to wear tonight?
I've put it on photobucket but when I've pasted it on to here it's very small. I've looked at resizing it on photobucket but I'm not sure what size to put in (I don't want it ending up filling the whole screen).0 -

I'm fortunate to be quite slim so I think I could pull off leggings, have seen a nice outfit in a shop window so may pop into town and try that on later.Hello Dieselhead? Who are you going to see? Standing or seated?

We are going to see boyce avenue, not necearrily my cup of tea, although I will confess to liking a few of their songs, but my boyfriend loves them!
Thanks for the tip about the handbag seems like a excellent idea!Who are you going to see? So next question then, I am addicted to cowboy boots (all imported from the US) do you think you can wear leggings or maybe skinny jeans with cowboy boots, I was thinking of wearing heals but as we are standing then I guess as you have all said comfort is going to be important.2009 wins: Cadburys Chocolate Pack x 6, Sally Hansen Hand cream, Ipod nano! mothers day meal at Toby Carvery! :j :j :j :j0 -
Afternoon all, flying visit here as we're just off down the allotment to do the first season's digging ! I'll catch up with you all later tonight.
I wore the orange cardi today and certainly stuck out amongst the crowd ! Pics are on my blog if anyone wants a nose.
DD had a great time in Primark, spent loads ! I was very good and only bought tights, a belt and 2 'essentials' t-shirts. I could have spent loads though - it was great in there !
Ventured into New Look too and I had to walk around with my eyes closed, otherwise the CC would have been bashed a bit.
Wow to Wallis for their maxi dresses :T! Big thumbs up for them, they had some stunning ones in there. Didn't buy though, can't really justify £50 on one dress but I was very tempted to buy !
Right, we're off, see you all later. xx:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

How about large - it wont fill the whole page but will be big enough for us to see the details. You can stand there and agonize........
