Discussion thread on Supermarket prices - are they becoming too high?

Unfortunately, I think price rises are going to get worse. There have been bad wheat harvests, hence the jump up in flour, pasta, bread, rolls etc. As a result of that, animal feed will also increase, so meat is going to get more expensive too. Of course, we've also got the increase in VAT to 20% to look forward too as well, which will affect some of the "Luxury" food items.

I'm going to be shopping according to what's on offer and trying to save some money that way..... It's not getting any easier, is it?

I agree. If I didnt have the great people on the OS board here then we'd be living on beans & toast!
