I work for Sainsburys and we normally have offers on the instore bakery cobs and loaves of bread. There are none and the prices have come from 60p tp 69p. The cheese ones are now 80p. Previous offers on the cobs have been 2 for £1, 3 for £1, BOGOF or half price. Small loaves (excluding TTD) 2 for £1 and the larger ones 2 for £1.50.
We make our own bread and cobs instore and get boards of flour. I don't work in the bakery and I will find out why we have no offers on the bread.0 -

Took my list and calculator to Sainsburys last night. I had a list of things that were same price or cheaper there than elsewhere and I found a couple of bargains too so added them to the trolley. It made a big difference and I didn't get sidetracked by pricey premium foods like I usually do.0

I don't know what other stores are like for price rises but I bought a box of 10 large eggs in Tesco last week for £1.50, went online to check the prices last night and they have shot up to £2.08!0

Just shows it is worth checking. I often shop in a hurry and probably wouldn't even realise until I got home. A few minutes research can save lots of money.0

That's great, thanks.
I know where I will be off to tomorrow.
More muffins to make, I have 5 Muffin books out now from the library, I am sure there must be a fair few in there for me to try.0
