I have been very bad this weekend :( Was very down after that 1.5Ib gain on thursday (so of course, the sensible thing to do was to eat rubbish over the weekend )
Anyhoo, I've deceided to go to the doctors today as it seems as though I may have IBS (which would explain the way I was feeling on Thursday) but it's been going on for years and I've been ignoring it. Hopefully, if the doctor agrees, it will help me get an idea of how to deal with it and I can start going forwards. I'm also gonna ask to be double checked it's not coeliac disease as the symptoms are very similar and I have family members with coeliac disease. Well, I'll see what the doctor says. :o

I have IBS Laura, be very careful with the coeliac disease test - they will advise that you cut out all wheat etc to see if it makes you feel better, then they'll test you and it will come back negative because you haven't been eating it.
I now refuse to eat wheat for six weeks and get hospitalised again for the sake of passing a blood test, but without it I can't get prescription food. Just a heads up.

Some of our choices are very similar eg cajun chicken. I never thought of putting it on kebabs :)

Yeah- I know about that. I'm not gonna let the doctor be dumb and tell me to cut it out before the test. What's the point of a false negative?! I once asked for the blood test and the doctor I was speaking to didn't even know what coeliac disease was  (I think he was new and just qualified but still :eek:)

Right- I am back from the doctors and I'm not going bonkers! He thinks I probably do habe IBS. He is going to do blood tests to be sure it's not coeliac disease or inflammatory bowel disease and I have to bring him a food diary to try to figure out triggers but basically, it is probably IBS.
    So, food diary from tomorrow!

I am thinking I will stop going to class for next few weeks while I do this food diary, figure out my triggers, get all the blood tests back etc and will see what the lay of the land is. I've no desire to waste £5 a week watching my weight go up and down for no particular reason

I will go speak to consultant on Thursday, and will pay to rejoin whan all is settled down (I may find out that doing mostly Original days is best, or that dairy is a trigger to yoghurts are out and cheese is limited etc etc) and would like to continue from where I left off.

I will still post here if that is ok. I still want the weight to be creeping off rather than on ;)

Thanks :) I'm sure I can work SW in around it once I've figured out triggers and ruled out more serious probs :D
