Problem with online golf company

I ordered the new Callaway uPro GPS device at what seemed a very good price £225. I then received an email saying that it was out of stock but would be in very shortly. I complained that they should not have deducted payment if the item wasn't in stock. They replied it happens automatically via Sage Pay. When it still did not arrive I emailed again and received a reply that the items were unusually being held up in customs. I have now asked for my money to be refunded immediately. I am getting a quick response to emails - but I am concerned! When let folks know what happens.0

I have now been told by email that my order for the sonocaddie V500 has been shipped on the 23rd August that is just about a month of waiting to be fair as far as I have seen the V500 is not available from any other UK stockist so when I receive my order I will be glad I waited but would agree with other comments that TG should be more open at least you would know the situation with delivery will post when item received and add a review for the Sonocaddie V500:0

Hi all just a quick note to say I have now received the sonocaddie V500 yes did have to wait over a month but I believe it is worthwhile seeing as no other UK supplier has them in stock basically it looks the business hopefully get to use it next week all I can say about TG is yes they do make promises they cannot keep or do not seem able to on certain items and I personally have always been able to phone them would say they are not con merchants but their customer service skills require more honesty anyway I am pleased with my purchase even though I had to wait
hope this helps you make up your minds about tomorrows golfer

Hi
I now have the V350 - see my message on 12th Aug - purchased from Amazon. This is the UK version of the V500 and holds the current database of UK courses.
I think the reason the V500 is only available from Tomorrows Golfer is that it is designed for USA use. It's features such as ''course search" will not work in UK and the 'hard drive' full of USA golf courses is only of use if taking it to America. If it's the same as the V350. you cannot free up any memory by deleting the USA courses as they cannot be removed and nothing more can be added by the user to this part of it's memory.
You can download courses for the UK but these go into a separate limited memory.
I would be interested in your review. The V500 does look nicer but believe I have been fortunate to finish up with the V350 and it's cheaper!
Do try it out soon, as if you don't think it is the right model you can return for a refund and perhaps stop others buying the V500.

I too have had the complete runaround from this company. Firstly ordered my SGX in April and following a trail of emails promising me it would be with me shortly and never arriving, I have requested my money back.
I received an email last week full of apology because I said my next step was trading standards and they promised me a full refund within 5 days and that was 7 days ago.
I will now be driving to their office armed with the email excuses and demanding my money back.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY0 -
Having taken delivery of the sonocaddie V500 have found out that What Sand storm says in his message above is true The V500 is not compatible in the true sense for The UK definitely been mislead by TG have applied for unit to be returned and ask for refund what a waste of time all round0

I received my Callaway uPro today! It's great - although I needed to buy an USA converter for the plug. However, I am still waiting for my complimentary 6 PRO V1 golf balls - I trust they're not languishing in customs.0

Got my 6 PRO V1 golf balls today. Not boxed, poor finish, and then noticed they are 'refinished' balls. I WOULDN'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!0

I found this forum today and wish I had 3 months ago. I ordered a Bushnell 1600 Slope, payment was taken immediately. After several emails chasing the item I eventually received a package over 1 month later, relieved I opened the parcel to find a completely different item, the SGX!
Their initial response was that why don't I keep the SGX as it is better that the Busnell I ordered. This struck me as very casual and didnt take in to account the time I had waited for the item.
I returned the item expecting a refund and 2 months down the line I still have not received anything despite several emails and conversations where I was promised a refund and told that it had been processed. Each time this wasn't true.
3 months from initial order I am £300 lighter, have spent literally hours writing emails and taking time out of work to make phone calls. They always apologies and say how terrible their service has been but my refund is still nowehere to be seen.
I am a regularly user of e-commerce sites and this is hands down the worst company and should be avoided like the plague!
I hope that readers of this post might be tempted to think again if they are considering using this worst type of retailer.
I am currently looking in to my options as to how to get my money back through other means as it is clear that despite their assurances to the contrary, they intend to keep my £300 and not pay it back...:mad:0 -
I ordered a Skycaddie 3.0 (£154) on Aug 16th from Tomorrows Golfer and was informed soon after about a delay from suppliers. I became concerned because of the delay and also because of the postings on this forum. I was informed a few days later the item was in stock and another couple of days later I was informed that the item was shipped. It arrived on the 8th Sept. The order took about 21 days and I was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived to find I had been given a free upgrade to the 3.5 (worth £220)model because of the delay in processing my order.
Overall I am fairly satisfied with the service from Tomorrows Golfer.
Everything comes to those who wait, it seems.0
