Have ordered a SGX from this site two weeks ago and have since seen the negative postings with regards to them. I have recieved a notification of my order along with a tracking number but obviously this could be garbage. Has anyone actually recieved anything in the past, as was ordered, from these people or is everybody just being fed the same info with no end result? I am aware that they have just put up a page on the site stating that the SGX should be arriving within the next seven days to the uk. People in the US have already been able to get their hands on the unit so i think it is a case of waiting but it would be interesting to know if anyone has heard anything else about this site......
Thanks0 -
I e-mailed them yesterday and got a reply that they hope to send out units next week. I suggested they put a message on their website about the sgx launch and I see that they have done this.
A bit more reassured now.
Also I see that there have been problems with the software in US for the first users which are being sorted out this week. See skygolf.com support forum.
Perhaps we might end up better off having waited a little longer to get delivery.0 -
Evening All,
Further to my posts I too have received an email stating that the sgx has been delayed. I was reasurred when I discovered by chance that my son has placed 2 orders at tg in recent months for golf clothing and has been very happy. He did mention that with the launch of gadgets there is always an estimated launch date which is passed onto the company and is then delayed through no fault of their own.
I for one feel slightly more reasured and think perhaps we should expect this delay as we are getting a complex piece of kit that may take some time.
I also did some research and found that all other UK companies are stating the same May date so presume this is ok.

Gents,
Thanks for the swift replies. I have never actually written on any forums before but felt the need to on this matter - obviously, when you see negative posts and you are shelling out a fair bit of cash it makes you concerned so good to know that somebody has had successful dealings with TG in the past. Lets hope all is good with our units. I will let you know when mine arrives and heres to a summer of shotting lower scores!
Thanks again.0 -
All,
I have spoken to another supplier about the SGX and apparently they are being sent out by SkyCaddie to be received by the suppliers 6th May and hence we should recieve our items on 7th May if they are immediately sent out.
Tomorrow's Golfer has certainly stepped up its customer service and now I think we can rest assured that we will receive our items as per our original orders.0 -
Hi There,
I just thought I'd let you know about my experience with Tomorrows Golfer. I ordered a Skycaddie SG2.5 about 3 weeks ago using a discount code for a price of £160 which was easily the cheapest I could find. I got an immediate email saying my order had been processed for dispatch. Whenever there was no change in this status aftere about 4 days I became worried as the money had left my bank. I got no response from my emails or voicemails left at the number on the website so I contacted Prestwich Golf Club directly on 01452 812180. I spoke to a girl who said my order would be with me within 48 hours.
A Few days later still no sky caddie so I sent further emails to which no response. I phoned again and was told that the unit would be another week. I told them how displeased I was with their lack of customer service and demanded an immediate refund. The girl told me the problem was because of the volcano ash situation and that they received their supplies via air. She offered me an ungrade to an sg 5 (retail price of about £280.00) which she promised would be with me in a further 8 days time.
A few days ago the unit arrived brand new in box with a load of extras, have had it out a few times and am delighted with it. I just thought I would post here just to allay any fears anyone has over tomorrows golfer. It seems at worst they are just a wee bit slack but certainly not fraudulent. I think also my order coincided with an extraordinary situation (ie the volcano) . I emailed them and the reply was immediate thanking them for the upgrade. I hope other buyers have the same positive experience that I have had.0 -
Hi Guys, Still waiting as I expect you all are! But to be honest, I am glad, looking at the problems they have had in the States, it would have been a nightmare trying to get sorted.
According to the Skycaddie forum almost all the problems have now been sorted and most say the new bit of kit is fantastic, can't wait.
I have had a few mails from Tomorrows Golfer "Only when I ask" on the state of play with the SGX, I know there are a dozens of shops in the UK who have all been promised delivery by Skycaddie but are all still waiting.
As far as I can make out they should be arriving in the UK sometime this weekend, so let's hope we here something next week.
As for TomorrowsGolfer, yes I think there communication leaves allot to be desired and as for taking the full amount without having the goods is very bad to say the least, in fact possibly illegal according to Credit Card rules.
Let's hope they come up trumps with the goods soon and we all end up happy.
PS
When any of you guys that have ordered the SGX get it delivery, please post on here with the date you ordered so we can see, I ordered mine
2nd March 2010 that's 10weeks and counting, I will not be happy if some people that ordered a few weeks ago get there's next week and I am still hanging on.....Benichembla0 -

Let's hope so.

I have had a SGX unit on order with tomorros golfer since 20/4/10 and despite numerous emails to them the response has been very poor and only when i said I would cancell my order was I given a delivery time , which has again passed by. The payment wa taken from my account immediately at the time of my order but alas no goods given in exchange. I am now wondering if I am ever going to see the Sgx or have I been taken for a ride:mad:0

EamonB,
I suggest you contact them on the number I have posted previously. I did this an got a free upgrade worth £130 from them. I honestly don't think you are being taken for a ride rather than a problem getting the units.
hope this helps0
