    Sorry I've been missing in action for far too long, won't go into details but I have still been keeping a note of spends so I'm declaring £247.35 for March, please put me down for £250 for April. See you on the April GC.;)

    please can i declair £350.49 for march. i dont beleive for a minute that i have saved £100 to be honest, if i have i would like to know where its gone. this month we have
    eaten out x3 (dd2 birthday and 2 omg no food in the house moments)
    take away x2 (on the way home from racing because i didnt make pack lunches)
    next month i will keep the same budget because i have 3 birthdays and nothing in so need to stock up
  • I am going to go over & fail on the last day! Just realised that we do not have enough sausages for the dinner of sausages & mash tonight. Oh well, it should only be over by pennies.

    £182.00 spent in March - £42.00 over budget - not good hope to do better in April

    Afternoon all

    Another £13.11 spent today and I'll still have to buy some more bread as I hadn't noticed that our brown loaf was mouldy!
    August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
  • Hi everyone....didn't manage to hit budget again this month but do think am getting better on meal planning and sticking to them. Declaring £225.36 for March so £25.36 overbudget....will try again for £200.00 in April please...thanks!

  • Well turned out that I didn't actually have enough potatoes or sausages for dinner tonight so didn't do very well did I on my second attempt at a meal plan this week?! So with both of those, plus 4 whoopsied parsnips for 23p, I am now over my budget again! Plus, the bag of potatoes were VERY small & will need some more tomorrow!

    Mind you I did feel a bit better earlier about the huge amount we spend on food every month in this household. I went to see a friend who has 4 children and she reckons that they easily spend £600 plus on food etc every month. Needless to say I passed on lots of the tips that I have learnt on here even if admittedly, I don't put them all into practice myself a lot of the time!
