Well overspent the last 2 weeks as visiting OH in Edinburgh and we had a few treats. On the brightside i'm home & the cupboards & fridge are full so can't imagine I'll spend much in April :o
  • I managed a NSD today & as I only have tomorrow left, I think I am actually going to achieve target this month, all be it by pennies only! (Actually this isn't strictly true because I bought a bottle of the half price Baileys the other day in Morrisons and I am going to cheat by putting that onto next month's spends. My justification for doing this is I haven't opened it yet & only bought it then because I am not likely to get there this week with it being the Easter hols!)

Just had a lovely lamb stew using lamb from the freezer that had been slow cooked previously, some home made chicken stock, fresh thyme, tomato puree, tin of tomatoes, potatoes, parsnips, grated carrot, celery, mushroom, garlic, onion, green beans & tin of kidney beans. Yum,yum even if I do say so myself! And a fair bit left over for lunch tomorrow.
    Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan

Well I did the shopping today and spent £60 .

However I know that the majority of this will be for next month e.g. I bought 12 litres of fresh fruit juice (already had 2 in but thought I might as well get them whilst I was there and we go away for Easter leaving DS2 at home).

Bought lots of things to stock up i.e onions, ready meals for when we are away.

So I'll pledge part of it to take me to £200 for this month and then carry over the rest to next month.
    GC Jan £318/£350, Feb £221.84/£300, Mar £200.00/£250 Apr £201.05/£200 May £199.61/£200 June £17.25/£200

Phew came in under budget for this month, now I'm in a dilemma. Instead of cutting down on my monthly budget, I've set up a savings account and every penny I save each month is going into it to put towards Christmas, so I will leave my budget at £360 I think.
so £360 again for April please and good luck everyone.
