Just updating the total so far... £59 in Mr T's on Saturday. Thought it would be more like £45 - oh well...

I have mealplanned for this week and need to do next week's too to try to minimise next week's spend to get back on track.

Off to have a look through the feed your family for 5p threads (again!)

Can you put me down for £115 this month please? I'm a bit short of cash this month, so going to try hard and stick to this. I must make more of an effort to take pack lunches this month .

  • Evening all,

quick hello to report spends of £19 since 26th! Goodness. Hae topped up freezer with whoopsie bread, got MORE milk, cheese, big bag of oranges-ten in them-49p cos they were seconds! Nothing wrong with them! Also got some dried red lentils and yellow split peas.

Dont intend doing much shopping this month, things are tight and as i want to come in well under as i will need every penny next couple of months with car MOTs and taxes. Am planning to do similar to Feb and use up my freezer stores, starting to go down nicely now.

Off to catch up with thread x

    Hi everyone,

just updated my siggy with the first spends of the month and i`ve already spent a whopping £50.22

On the plus side we have a bursting fridge and freezer and i now need to re-jig the meal planner as we have things in that wern`t on my list, not bad though as they were things that i`ve bought now instead of later in the month so i`ve saved by getting things when they were on offer :D

Offski to look at the meal planner now whilst i have the time.

Good luck for March everyone

Aargh! Just lost my post somewhere - so am starting again - Ditto thanks to MRS MC, Rosieben and Pink-winged forthis new March grocery challenge. :j

Perriwinkle - sorry to hear about your hubby, thinking of you all.

cw18 - Forgot that DS will be home from Uni during this month's challenge and he loves his food. I can feel a big bake and multi cook coming on

Went to Cash and Carry - spent £17.80 but that included 40 toilet rolls. Didn't realise that I had picked up a 40 pack instead of a 24 pack - but only realised that I had been charged for 24 - so loads of roll for just over £7. :o Just got to find somewhere to put them all now.

Also went to L*dl - and spent £38.35. Have stocked up well now - may only need milk and F/V for the next few weeks. I will try to go to the market on Thursday morning as it is cheaper there.

Supposed to be having a new boiler fitted this week - when the plumber gets here. Hopefully soon. :(

Good luck to everyone and wish you all Happy Whoopsie-ing

I've been considering buying a veg box to make myself eat/cook more veg as I really don't use a lot at the moment.

    Hi everyone,

Small spend of £3 today, couple of loaves of whoopsie bread and some sugar and mini cheddars from poundland.

I will be having a look in Asda tomorrow evening but don't plan to buy much. Will need fruit for pack ups and snacks, plus a look for any other bread reductions, I have actually run out this weekend and that makes me feel rather insecure:rotfl:

Riverford veg box wil be delivered on Thursday - this is an experiment as I have never had one before. May get one from the local food coop after that and compare amounts/quality.

Hope everyone has a good month.
