The high price of cigaretes is a smoking control strategy that works - smoking rates fall as prices rise. coutries with lower price for fags have more smokers, and those smokers smoke more. france is just cottoning on to this, but European nations have more near neighbours and so are worried about revenue loss. Don't buy her the fags - if it costs her losts of money she is mopre likely to stop or smoke less in the end. Give a 10 a day smoker 400 cheap fags and they become a 20 a day smoker.

no no no no no. buying the fags is just condoning the smoking, whereas what hilary should be doing is supporting chelsea to give up. bring back some nice perfume etc instead.

Why doesn't Hilary take her grandson to Spain to show him what a wonderfully granny she is, and tell her revolting daughter that she'd have taken her too; had she been a better mother to little Bill in the first place.
Maybe by next year Chelsea will have mended her ways and become a model mummy and little Bill will have truely benefited.

P.S. I'm a none smoker and never bring back tobacco for anyone, start as you mean to go on in this life and stick to your guns.

Its sad that when someone is going away to get a break from the stresses of work and paying bills, a person is asking them to do their shopping for them.

People that harm their health should have to pay their tax here, so the health service that will deal with their cancer is properly funded. I pity poor nurses and doctors that have to deal with those who smoke through holes in their throat or insist on gastric bands because they can't control themselves.

As for the 5 year old, not only exposing developing lungs to second hand carbon monoxide, but paving the way for another addict.

Maybe the gum and patches are cheaper in Spain....
