Paying them £10 would to most people seem an adequate solution, and was once a recommended approach. However your dealing with a beast and the beast must be fed, they will only be happy with the full amount. Even if you sent the £60 I would wager after a couple of days a letter would arrive, saying sorry your payment was too late we now want the other £30.

Ignore Parking spy, if their signage is misleading that's their problem not yours!

I have been reading this thread and most people suggest that they are ignored as they are private. I don't know what to do, should i pay a little like £10 or ignore completely. £60 is just too much, i cannot pay that at all.....

What to you all think? Thanks in advance....

You should go against the advice of everyone else and pay up.

Go on ...be a little different.

After all what do we know on here???

  • You see it's simple.........

If it's private = ignore, ignore, ignore some more.

If it's 'proper council' then appeal and hit pepipoo.

  • Today a second PCN arrived three days before the reduced payment date expires. This one is headed Parking Charge Notice to Owner and the thumbnails are in colour. It also states that if not paid in 20 days many additional charges will be made.!!!!!

Thank you to parking eye for the technicolour evidence that my disabled passenger was indeed in the car.

Just ignore them. Please don't take these clowns seriously. They are not the police or the council, but just a private company. Don't be scared of a few letters. Just look upon them as junk mail.

Went to the gym. Without need for any fuss whatsoever, they took the letter off me and said 'We'll deal with this'. Guess they have some sort of system to input my details to. Glad it was so painless. If not, I definitely would've been complaining... ;)

I posted this on 8th September. A week later I received my second notice, and just assumed that the cancellation hadn't gone through the system yet. However, today I received my FINAL NOTICE in the post, so it would seem the gym did eff all about it... Do I continue to ignore the letters or do I take them into the gym and yell? ;)
