Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

Thank you so much for your reply to my post. I am going to ignore the letters from these cowboys and I now know what to do if I need to to take it further, which I feel will be very unlikely.

thanks to all the advice to ignore on this site.
my wife parked at crown wharf shopping centre in walsall.
she purchased a ticket (that thankfully is still in the car) but departed from the car park just 9 minutes (according to their timings) after the ticket expired, i personally think this is within reasonable parameters to load up her shopping bags, get settled into the car and make her way (through the traffic) to the exit.
they obviously don't, and have sent a PCN for £80 (£50 if i pay early).
well, if they want to take me to court for none payment, bring it on. i'd love to see how it stands up and all the negative publicity that i would subsequently generate for both them and their client, crown wharf.0 -
Also had a letter this week from parking eye, was going to appeal but will just ignore thanks to this thread.
Just to put me at total ease can someone confirm they have had all the letters from parking eye and that they eventually just stopped?
Cheers
Hi shaky.

I am new to this forum...
I just passed my driving test and took my husbands car to drop my mum at the national express in chorley road Manchester. I parked in a parking eye car park and on the board it clearly stated weekday parking and this was a Sunday---- so i assumed parking was free since it was a weekend.
About 6 days later, we got a letter from parking eye to my husband noting that he parked in their car park for xx mins(less than 30mins) so he has to pay £60 or it would increase to £90 after 14days. I have been worried sick because first of all it was not my husband driving the car but me and secondly the board stated tariffs for weekdays very boldly and i didn't know that was for all week.
I have been reading this thread and most people suggest that they are ignored as they are private. I don't know what to do, should i pay a little like £10 or ignore completely. £60 is just too much, i cannot pay that at all.....
What to you all think? Thanks in advance....0 -
Just ignore them. It's that simple. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
