cheers robredz, i know i should of got a ticket for the price of a couple of quid but they greedy !!!!!!s wanting £50 for 34 mins. watched the watchdog video, seriously i dont have to pay it ??, i'm sweating already waiting for the bailiffs to arrive lol x0

Bailiffs are appointed by the court to collect payments after you have refused to pay what the court has ordered. You will not be taken to court, so no bailiffs. Do not allow scammers to rob you.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Many Council car parks ARE free on Bank Holidays, people like Parking Eye who only want money, charge beyond time limits, or if free parking, invoice 24/7/365 (366 if a leap year)
They rely on confusion and people feeling guilty to pay their outrageous unwarranted unenforceable demands. There is no appeal, correspondence only encourages them to ramp up the amount asked on their threatOgrams,.0 -
thanks to all respondents, i'm still feeling a bit sick as to wether they will just go away and leave me alone after a few letters from them, even though i was in the wrong by not buying a ticket, i still cant believe they cant fine me, i find this quite funny, so theoretically, could i park in a parking eye carpark for a few hours and not bother buying a ticket at all ?? or is that just taking the pxxx i cant stop thinking about it, i dont like things hanging over my head :eek:0

cheers Trisontana, so you agree that even that i was in the wrong by not getting a parking ticket i shouldnt pay the FINE as they have no legal right to fine me,What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

trisontana wrote: »You are correct. The only amount they can claim for is the actual material loss suffered by the landowner - that's basic contract law. Anything above that would be considered as a penalty. That is against the law. This is because in this country one citizen (the parking company) cannot punish another citizen ( the motorist).
And only the landowner can claim for the actual material loss, not a 3rd party.
Ignore Parking Spy, but if you feel guilty, fill out who the landowner is and send them a cheque for the parking fee, that way they haven't suffered any damages.0 -
We came home after visiting my parents in Spain to find we had a Parking Eye ticket on our car in the FREE CAR PARK at Blackpool airport .
We had to park on the grass verge (as many other drivers had ) as there was no parking spots left , it was early morning check-in so very dark & we didn't see any parking signs , not that we were looking for any in a free car park ???
A friend told me to Google PE , so i'm now waiting for our 1st letter :-/ (knowing my luck i'll be the 1st to go to court )0 -
