  • Boo indeed. Maybe they sent the cheque on purpose knowing full well they would stop it, just to give me a taste of my own medicine! I suppose at least now they can't send their imaginary bailiffs round looking for their 50 quid back...

So much for my compensatory cheque. They cancelled it . Ach well, you win some you lose some I guess.

So you are £10 down? I would be popping in to see the manager. Did your bank charge you for the stopped cheque?

  • Yeah, £10 down.
  • my husband got a 'parking charge' today! best of it is it isn't his car. car has been registered to him by the DVLA, apparently the dealership has completed his details on the slips they sent in! he bought a car from them the same day this car was sold it seems. he has informed the dvla but I see a few stressful letters ahead. :(

If it's a PPC so what. unenforceable invoice, if council, contact and tell them the motor isn't yours and send them to the dealer who messed up imho

No you haven't broken any law beyond that which exists in the fevered imagination of Parking Eye. They have sent you an Invitation To Treat, an invoice inviting you to pay them £50 for their idea of a transgression. They are a private company, and CANNOT FINE YOU Ignore them, is the usual advice, check out the stickies and view the Watchdog video on YouTube, enjoy a cold drink while you watch the Watchdog solicitor make a paper plane out of the invoice....
