My daughter received a letter from p*** in the eye yesterday and was understandably upset as she has only just passed fer test and being young has not had to deal with these thieving scum bag the amount of years that we have to..

She was quick I must pay or they will take me to court I over stayed...

Ahem slow down girl lets take a little look first to find out what you are supposed to have done...

Turns out as she has just got her first home we have been decorating and have made numerous trips to B&Q in Sutton Surrey ( our local ) and they have sent the 2nd letter ( no first ) and this has arrived late which leaves a few days to pay....Obviously I have told her not to pay. They say the car arrived at 09-27am & left 17-04pm
in other words claiming we were there 7 hours and 36 minutes.

Amazing how they spotted the car going in and not leaving an hour later then arriving again in the afternoon before leaving 20 minutes later......

I think they can go swivel! :T
  • Yes Yes I understand the difference between a council parking violation and a swarm of parasites.

    Filter feeding organisms both.

Chill out stop worrying, read the posts carefully, the "Solicitor" and Debt Collector" are on adjacent desks and as potent as a pitbull with rubber teeth, they have no legal claim on you so do what you have been advised and ignore them.

No, since the cost-cutting measures the "Solicitor" and "Debt Collector" are the same person, they just swap the headed paper in the printer :o

Soon the labour management will mean that the "Solicitor", the "Debt Collector" will merge with the "Appeals" bin & "Invoicing" desk, so instead of employing 4 people they can get away with employing 1 person to sit in the office.

    ----

Anyhow, carry on ignoring, Parking Spy rarely do court because they know the system is as flawed as saying so and so downloaded file X because his/her IP address appeared in a log

There is a whole raft of evidence of people who have paid these crooks thinking it will all go away only to be hit with even more charges for late payments and multiple threats and demands for more money.
Paying scammers is a very dangerous game, they come back for more money.

We're sorry but your payment arrived 1 second too late to quality for the discounted contractual penalty, please pay an extra £50.
  • Hi, just got my 1st parking eye letter wooooooop, was just about to reply as the letter states that i entered private land at 11:00am and left at 2.34pm (3hr free parking) although i have a receipt with the time recorded as 2.35pm, i definately didnt have enough time to get back to my car loaded down with shopping and escape the parasite eye in -1min, clearly their times are out so my 'complaint' would have been along the lines that its impossible for their recorded time to have shown me leaving the private land at 2.34pm when i was clearly in a shop purchasing my items with a debit card (presumably accurate times on the till receipt) at 2.35pm.

    I await the 'bailiff' pffft....:rotfl:
  • It is quicker to wait for Godot. Parking Eye are no fun.

    just received a notice
I parked without paying at crown wharf shopping park in walsall :D
  • Thank you to all on this thread who have given such great advice. I, too, have received a "parking charge notice" from Parking eye. I parked at Crown Wharf Walsall last week. I am a disabled badge holder. Paid for a ticket but my friend put the wrong registration number in the machine. Didn't realise until I left and stupidly threw away the ticket. "Fine" came today. Was really angry and upset. Excellent advice on here and has eased my mind.
  • Parked at Monks Cross, York last Monday as was shopping for school uniforms. Went 40mins over the 4hr limit (and still didn't have time to get everything i needed!) and recieved a PCN from parkingeye today. Have shopped there for years with no problems. Within1/2 hour of emailing Monks Cross they replied saying it had only been in a month and asking for the PCN number and promising to cancel it. They told me to ignore any further letters. Also told me next time I visit to pop into information centre to register my numberplate and I won't be issued a ticket if I take longer than 4 hours. The ParkingEye is there to stop office workers abusing the parking, not to penalise shoppers. Very relieved to hear that!:T
