The letters aren't even addressed to me, as the car is in my husband's name, but it was me that was driving at the time. The parking limt and charges signs are cleary visible. Does that make any difference? My husband is more worried about it than me.

If you're worried...pay up. Job done.

Why's he worried about a few sheets of A4 in an envelope???

You have had more than enough information to form a valid adult decision not to pay. Your situation is far from unique.

Just what more can we do to convince you not to pay conmen, please tell us?
  • Thanks all for the reply, ,think now I can safely open a can of john smiths and lie back and await the 'junk mail'

    Hi All

Went to Ambleside in the lake district last week, late back to car park due to my wife having a fall. Was horrified to find a parking charge notice on the doormat a few days later informing me due to being a few minutes late on leaving the car park I was going to be charged £90 - £60 if payable by 24th August but rising to £120 if not paid! Read posts regaring this bieng a scam- had clean driving license for 32 years, never been fined or taken to court in my life! How do they think they can get away with this? Do I pay? Any advice asap would be much appreciated as my wife and I are worried sick.

    Thanks.
  • Don't be afraid to correspond with them if you have a genuine case. I have had a letter from them today voiding the charge before the bargain reduced fee would have been due. Even though I know it wasn't enforceable, it still put my mind at rest.:)

Hmm, new poster advising to appeal? I smell pies.
  • Hi All,

Just received a parking fine notice from eagle eye with a photo of my car as well, was very surprised as I had entered the car park several times that day to drop off and pick up my daughter from explore learning and had no reason to stay there for 3hr 18m !

Advice to all if you enter a couple of times because you haveleft something at home like i did its possible you will receive a notice for the last exit time so be aware and dont accept this.

Wiating for my final demand !

Ignore Parking Spy, their CCTV system is rubbish when it comes to multiple visits, they have a poor habit of using the first time you entered and last time you left pictures.

Complain to Explore Learning about the harassment you are receiving from parking spy
  • Final Demand duly received and ignored several months ago now.

Fighting ALL tickets now and starting to unearth impropriety in my local council, badly maintained ticket dispensers, vindictive parking ticket stampers etc. Have spent some time 'interviewing' wardens and counter-photographing cars with alleged violations. My council is now clearly using trivial violations as a form of revenue. Tiny encroachment of pavements when the parking slots are too narrow, ambiguous temporary signs etc etc.

I now fight tickets all the way to court just to make sure that truth and justice is administered, switch trade away from key areas where the fascism is most prevalent, dissing my city and encouraging people to stay away from areas where traffic Nazis jackboot around !!!!ing off people who want to spend money and enjoy our town.

A tiny amount of flexibility would go a long way. Unfortunately the job attracts psychos and losers.
