Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

jaseone and bondylad I also received a notice while in Aldi from Parking Eye, they went straight for the 2nd notice, as you say they're probably trying to save postage.
I have spent almost £100 this week at my 'new' alternative shop, (a bit more than usual but) money which I would normally spend on things I need at Aldi and which they have lost out on thanks to Parking Eye and an equally dodgy and evasive manager of Aldi.
I have found much to my suprise that 'yes' I can live without Aldi, and I can get the same value for money elsewhere.
I have one word for Aldi, K A R M A.0 -
Hi guys
We got a notice from parking eye after parking in toysrus and overstaying by 17 mins over the free 1 hour. It was a genuine mistake as we had no idea we'd overstayed until it came through.
Our gripe is the fact with two toddlers we don't find that 1 hour is a valid length of free time especially as we have spent money there too.
Spoke to toysrus who are speaking to their landlord to waiver it.
Unfortunately before reading this link we responded to parking eye through the letter template on the main page. Basically saying we don't think it's a long enough time and don't think they can justify £80 for a 17 min overstay.
Bit concerned now as everyone is saying don't respond. Looks as though we've already admitted overstaying so have we shot ourselves in the foot??
Any guesses on their next move?
Thanks0 -
See the letter chain in the stickies. They bleat and make lots of threats then just fade away.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Bloody idiotic 1 hour in ToysRus, when my daughter was young it would take us all day for her to chose something to buy her!! Mind you now she is 22 she is the same only its car showrooms!!:o
As for the invoice hopefully the store will tell them to cancel the ticket! regardless if they don't just ignore them. All you have done by contacting them is saved them the £2.50 it costs them to the RK's address, plus you have informed them that the charge is disproportionate! Parking Eye are easy to ignore.0 -

Thanks a lot. That's put my mind at rest a bit!0 -
My daughter just got a PCN from Parking Eye after exceeding the 1hour 20 at Aldi by just 10 minutes. Am I right in advising her to just ignore any further letters she gets?0

Just chipping in with my experience. Quick summary, I ignored the letters and things have turned out alright. I'd used a motorway service access road to leave the motorway and then the next morning re-enter it, having stayed overnight locally (yeah this is a bit cheeky, but has been going on for literally decades by everyone in the region). However parking eye seem to think i stayed overnight and therefore liable to pay the 'PCN'. I received three letters in total, the third being the 'final notice' one. From dastardly non-event to third letter was about a month. I did notice sometimes there was a large gap between the date on the letter and the date it was received.0

Hi All
Went to Ambleside in the lake district last week, late back to car park due to my wife having a fall. Was horrified to find a parking charge notice on the doormat a few days later informing me due to being a few minutes late on leaving the car park I was going to be charged £90 - £60 if payable by 24th August but rising to £120 if not paid! Read posts regaring this bieng a scam- had clean driving license for 32 years, never been fined or taken to court in my life! How do they think they can get away with this? Do I pay? Any advice asap would be much appreciated as my wife and I are worried sick.
Thanks.0
